How comes..

.... some of the engine bays I've seen on GTR's are the same colour as the body, and some are a flat black colour?

I was wondering that, esp metallic grey R32GTRs seem to all have matt black engine bays

On the R34 the non-v and v-spec were black but the v-spec2 is body coloured

My R33 was black, but then again so was the car! My B blue GT-V is a very dark (almost black) blue ish color...

at least with the R34 it was a different painting method with the V-spec2s onwards.

Trust me even if it doesnt look as good, a black/dark engine bay is better than a blue/bodycolor one
