Not at all. Its a car most keep garaged and treat so well. Im sure it could take a thrashing from certain owners. I bought a demonstrater and Im sure it wasn't exactly looked after by the test drivers, but it should be built to last. Some just buy to say they have one and then sell - just need to look on here to prove that.

number of owners is probably the least significant thing when it comes to GTR history.. many people buy it just to see what the hype is all about then sell it on after! whats the service history like?

Personally 3 owners is 3 too many
But seriously it would put me off yes, even if there is no justification for it.

That doesn't make sense? It would put you off, but for no reason?

I have had a glass of wine
Why buy a GTR with 3 owners, when there are plenty out there with only 1 previous owner for near enough the same price and mileage?
Just my view, most of the time I make no sense but I think im right here?

I suppose if you have your heart set on white then you have less room for negoiation but there is another white one on auto trader which is a 2010 black edition 19k miles for a few grand more after you haggle compared to a 2009 premium that you are looking at.

2010 Nissan Gt-R Black Edition FNSH-JUST DONE, SAT NAV, BLACK EDITION, 1 OWNER 3.8 2?

If the history checks out (needs to have full HPC history from new - no exceptions) and the mileage is low (< 20,000) I don't really see a problem. A lot of people buy GTR because of the hype and then decide to sell it on for something else. Either that or the maintenance cost shocked them

It would put me off. In fact buying a GTR with one owner put me off so i bought brand new. I like to know exactly how my car's been treated from day one. I didn't like the thought of having one that hadn't been run in properly or ragged from cold etc.

Going to give it a test tomorrow. Ill see how it sits with me, then go from there. My Evo has had 3 owners from new, that didnt bother me. Not sure why I questioning it now.

I dont think Ive kept any of my cars longer than a year, so one owner a year isnt bad I suppose. We'll see

Exactly! Only a very rich person (or a fool :P) would buy a car new these days. The depreciation is just too much to bear.

I think it depends on how long you're going to keep the car really. If you buy a car then sell it a year later then yes buying new is silly as the depreciation is ridiculous in the first year. If you're going to keep it long term then it's not so much an issue and it's nice to know that it's got no hidden history and know that it's been treated how you'd like. Just my opinion though.

White is a great choice but i personally do not like the black seats, red recaros would be my choice. 3 owners = lower price compared to same with 1 owner. Sometimes cars are disposed of early after accidents but this of course may not be the case.

+2 New only for me, given the sort of life some GT-R's may have been subjected to.

It would seem the thread has turned into a justification for buying new, not an option for me I'm afraid.

Going to see the car today, I'll let you know how I get on.
