Who's bought a track pack GTR?

Spotted a white MY12 at WLMG Slough when I was in for pre-track inspection. Anyone here?

Took a photo of the front lip

I had a look at my tyres while it was on the ramp, not too bad for 4K and three track days - fairly even wear across the tyre

Note the splitter is not the same as the spec v item.

Stock plastic item, with a carbon vent and air guide inserted?

Wonder if it is available as a part?

I don't think that splitter looks that great....much better to have done it full carbon...looks more afterthought than designed component IMHO

Yeah, makes it even harder to justify that 10k premium...

New suspension clearly helps with tyre wear. Hopefully Litchfield's new kit will be even better and for a fraction of the cost of the Track Pack.

So has anybody fitted the Litchfields new susupension? Comments from people who tack their cars?

Does it have a more agressive camber then? Otherwise it may be just that it was not driven that hard.

The brake ducts aren't fully ducted to the discs either, from what I've read on brake ducting it must run right up to the caliper or centre of disc to be of any use. GTR tech said there were Carbon air deflectors for the rear brakes.

David, I'll see if I can dig out my suspension geometry print out, it's set up somewhere between track and fast road.

Sorry, my mistake, I didn't read your post properly and thought the tyre pics were of the Track Pack car.

Guy, Track Pack just has different springs and shocks as far as I know.
Litchfield's will also have a thicker rear ARB, but is not quite ready for delivery yet. I am due to get one of the first sets and Dickie Meaden is going to set timed laps at Bedford before and after suspension.

Zed Ed 31st March 2012 08:18 PM

The track pack just has the 'blue' Nordring dampers/springs, not even rebranded.

Getting Iain's suspension to finish off my modding after Stage 4 a couple of weeks ago

Here's some pics of the ducting on the track pack cars:

Front ducts, stainless steel

Rear ducts, carbon

Cheers for the pics Anders. You can buy front "ducts" exactly like that for a couple of hundred quid from Rexspeed or HKS Kansai to name but two companies and they're in dry carbon.

Never seen rear ones though, but the rear brakes do a fraction of the work.

Wonder why they went with steel for the fronts? Worried about stone chip damage if they were carbon?

Either way, they go almost no way toward justifying the 10k cost of the Track Pack.

Anders_R35 4th April 2012 11:43 AM

Agreed, there are more cost effective solutions out there, these pics not from my car I must add!

Still waiting for Iain to produce his front lip, that should do the job at a fraction of the cost and add some Aero.

I have a spare used oem splitter

Think I'll see if I can stick some vents in it.
