remote shut down of engine.

Is there a way using the nissan intelegent remote key. That if you get out of the car with the engine running and move away from the car the engine will shut down? Or is it worth fitting a separate system ie. anti hijack type of thing?

Sounds like a lot of effort instead of simply pressing the stop button.

Why would want to have something like this fitted, please don't say it's to cool the turbos!
ie turbo timer

Nothing to do with turbo timing, i am interested in safety, my mrs drives the car and we can and do have the the key in our pockets, if somebody at a set of traffic lights, or Junction, opens the door and drags her out i would preffer if they drove a short distance and then the car shut down, simple really.

Alternatively are we able to set the central locking to automatically lock the car when it moves off? Every time we start it up. Just like our other car used too.

I just had an Autowatch 68hi fitted to mine on delivery. Activates when you open the driver's door and kills the engine after 60 seconds if a secret button isnt pressed.

Perfect antihijack option for me.
