GT1 GT-R bought by GTROC member

Some time ago the JRM GT1 GT-Rs were put up for sale. For those that don't recall the announcement it can be found on the GTROC website.

At the time there were more than a few interested parties and it was always likely that the cars would soon all be leaving the UK. Thankfully that was not to be the case for one car. A long standing member of the GTROC decided he could not stand by and watch the GT1 GT-R leave the UK never to be seen again. Typically the now new and very proud owner did not want to make a big song and dance about it so just gone on securing the car. I first heard about it sometime ago and it is only now that the new owner is okay with it being announced.

The car will be at this weekend's Autosport International Show at the NEC. There will be a significant presence by the GTROC with our own stand at this show as well. However the GT1 GT-R will be on a sponsors stand and is already the prouid owner of two GTROC stickers!

Full details of the car, the new owner and what his plans are for the car will be revealed soon on the GTR Owners Club website (GTROC - the GTR Owners Club). In the meantime if you want to see the last GT1 GT-R to remain in the UK get along this weekend, and make sure you drop in on the GTROC in Hall 9.

The GTROC stand is having a massive sale of official Nissan GT-R and genuine Nismo merchandise. Everything is discounted and there are chances to win some great prizes too, just for turning up!

See you all at Autosport!

Hmm, I wonder what it would take to make it road legal...

Pleased to hear it is staying in the UK.
Used to love watching them race, shame GT1 died so early.

Saw them race in Portugal and was an impromptu guest of JRM there. Great team, great cars.

Congratulations mate, also saw them racing at Silverstone where they were awesome - V8 sounds brutal!
Which of the two did you get, 22 or 23?

So are you going to race it?
