headlight removal

to remove the headlights of my r33 gtr does the front bumper have to come off??

Not 100% sure, as I've only ever removed the headlights while the bumper was off while doing other work.

I'm sure someone on here will know for sure.

No u need to remove the indicator and put your hand in and undo bolts underneath the headlight.

I'd pull it so as not to chance scratching my bumper cover, but the bolt sam's talking about is 90 degrees from the front of the headlight, just below where the wing ends towards the front. Then there's just the 4 nuts on the backside of the housings inside the engine compartment.

Painter's tape on the top of your bumper will aid in protecting the paint from the bottom of the light housings.

There spec 3 lights the xenon lights the indicators are part of the lights. Guess I'm missing a bolt somewhere.. There's the one on top of the light and two that bolt into the compartment don't know where the fourth one is. Maybe I'm just been an idiot ill take the bumper off next weekend then ill be able to see.

I'm fairly sure he means the front turn signal indicator, down low on the front, one philips screw and it falls out allowing you access to the area inside the bumper.

try this it worked for me just undo the 1 bolt method see link and take the headlight out with bracket attached to it

Edit: I'm stewpid, 2 nuts inboard, one bolt up top outboard and the wing extension bolt. Sorry. To think I just did this a month ago.
