Fabrication single turbo manifold

Hi guys,
wanted to discuss little bit about manifold fabrication, this information is little bit limited over the internet and not much information could be found over there especially for materials and preferred pipe diameter, the point is to try and do manifold myself and maybe some of you had some experience?
thanks for attention in advance

Most manifolds for turbo and na engines are made from stainless steel with a goodness of 1.4301. Because its cheap, common and good to weld.
But my experience is that 1.4301 is not ideal for turbo engines. For Na its adequate.

If I remember correctly, Turbocharging Performance Handbook by Jeff Hartman details manifold fabrication, pipe lengths etc. in good detail.

Oh yes and Maximum Boost by Corky Bell... I own it but can't remember how much details were given for manifold fabrication.

Speak to Andy at AMT, there's a thread on here with pics of the manifolds he's made/making.
