Are used prices increasing?

I have noticed that prices of used gtr's are starting to increase in UK. Could this be down to the fact that Nissan are now selling less year on year causing the market to become less saturated? Since buying my car 8 months ago the value has increased (based on autotrader) so technically (maintenance, insurance and fuel aside) its been a free car.

It's the time of year, these sort of cars always have an increase in price around this time of year.

Prices are always lower Oct - Feb due to poor weather, people having less cash after summer holidays, looking towards xmas time.

It's always the same with the R35.
Drop in Autumn, firm up in Spring.

People who are going to sell might as well do it when winter is on the way.
People who buy want them for the better weather.

Prices on autotrader mean nothing. What is actually selling out there?

I've had my 09 up for weeks now and get nothing but time wasters. Dropped price now 3 times to the point where its just not going to be worth selling.

What did you start off at and where are you now? Your situation is exactly what I'm trying to avoid and the conclusion will be the same, it it doesn't sell for sensible money, it stays put.

Started at 37500 I think, based on looking around other classifieds. It seemed a fair price. It's now down to 34, which is rock-bottom if-it-doesn't-go-now-I'm-taking-it-off-the-classifieds. All I get is people emailing whose first words are "Will you accept (some lower figure)". I mean jesus, lets have some foreplay before you try roger me senseless.

No I think they are coming down a bit because there is quite a few for sale on piston heads and in the autotrader and they don't seem to be shifting... Just sold mine for 40k but I was really after 42k but unfortunately looking at what standard cars were fetching I reduced mine and then I started getting interest.... Shame really but there is quite a few for sale to choose from

The reality is that early UK cars with highish mileage were selling in June of last year for around £36K.

I think you would struggle to get a decent one now for under £35K.

Excellent value I think.

Seems a bit strange if it's not selling privately for £34,000 at the moment...

I bought my Dec 2009 with the later Sat Nav etc for around £36k Feb 2012 due to chap having problems with keeping up with the finance company. Looks like I didn't lose to much money in the 1st year then.

Other than Stage 1, then Stage 4, wrap, Carbon Fibre and now 3 Piece Forged wheels

£36k! That's a bargain! My car is exactly same MY as yours (Dec 09) but I've got mine for £39k... Last time I've contacted a trader regarding p/x (near Xmas) I got around 30k best offer

Im reaching a point where I'm thinking to either mod it more or sell it and use extra cash to get something else. The 997.2 Turbo (or at a stretch Turbo S) is always on my mind at the moment...

I just sold my GTR around 1 month (59'plate) to webuyanycar... The price I got was £3.5K more than the trade in price from Porsche garage. Tbh didn't expect webuyanycar to give good price, let alone the best price.. Just type in number plate and got a very good price car was due big service and had bald tyres... The price on website was the price I was given. Well happy which allowed me to negotiate a better price 4 my new car and £3.5k better off

Mate you are the first person I know to have had a good deal. They ripped a couple of friends off, on lesser cars mind. They were desperate to sell so went with it. Glad you got a good deal.

Oh, 997.2 Turbo was a good choice lovely motors.

paid 49k ish in jan10, uk car, non sat nav 5k miles, std. Spent a bit on mods with mr litchfield, but even taking these into account i like to think 35-37k + whatever premium i could get for 750hp mods, as car is mint low miles... absolutley the lowest depreciating car i have ever owned from nearly new..

Nice one...any pics/review?

WBAC usually offer a lucrative number on their website but they will dramatically slash the price upon inspections.
