Brake Squeal

So, I've had my MY12 for just over a week now. Fabulous car in every respect. The brakes are incredible, with amazing stopping power. BUT, I get a lot of squeal from the pads. I believe the brakes are standard. Due to the fact it's summer and I like to keep the windows open it's a bit irritating every time I brake for a set of lights or a roundabout and I can hear that squealing.

Does anyone else get this? Is it normal? Anything I can do about it?

Thanks.

Go and give them a hard time. Or a few hard stops. Should clear it up.

The brakes on my 09 car squeal and always have on the stantard set up.
Yes,a couple of hard stops usually shuts them up briefly but they will soon start squealing again.

I was originally looking at the Alons 400mm but there is a thread with quite a few members who have the alcons and get juddering with the brakes which really put me off!

Has this issue been resolved?
