Am I being thick?

I'm confused. A lot of the time I use the key to unlock the car rather than using the keyless button on the door handle.

When I unlock the car with the key the passenger door doesn't unlock and I have to press the button in the car by the window to then unlock the passenger door.

How do I change it so both doors unlock when I use the key or keyless button on the door handle?

I did read the owner manual but that confused me even more.

check you have not disabled it from the door button, there should be a switch for it.

press and hold lock and unlock on the remote for 5 seconds. Both doors should then lock and unlock together.
