It went for mapping today, so now running on a safety/running in map.

Handy as I have it booked into my local detailer for the middle of next week, so he can spend a few days bringing his expertise to the paintwork.

BAD coilovers? Is that Black Art suspension? If so they are supposed to be top notch.

Quite a list you have! Sure it will go well when mapped.

Just got to learn how to drive it now...

It's got this waggly stick for selecting gear.

Nice list ! Gonna be a weapon ! Seems to take forever to run em in you should have asked Richard Nicely to leave it on the dyno for a few hours :-)

That's a fantastic spec Richard.

Don't suppose I could be cheeky and get you to ask Ron what the part number is for the Stagea BMC. I'm assuming its a BM57 but I think they come in a few different versions with different bias, I think the Stag is the most rear biased, then the Z32, then the R32/33/34 brembo version. I have the pn for the latter of the three and the z32 ones are readily available obviously, but the Stagea one is rarer in the UK for obvious reasons and I've not come across the p/n.

Out of curiosity why would you need more rear end bias on an R32? The Bm57 as found on the R34 is pretty good.

Well you could do the maths; you can calculate the weight transfer from front to rear under say 1.2G braking (you need to know the CoG height, wheel base and weight distribution) and then calculate the brake torque needed at the front vs rear. Then you look at the rotor size and piston area in the front and rear calipers and figure out how much pressure you can put through the front and rear respectively to get the max torque they can take. Then you can do the same for 0.7G to give you an idea of the same values but for wet conditions.

Then you cross reference that with the documented knee point and pressure relief ratio after the knee point of each BMC.

I guess the degree of decceleration lockup on the differential will also have an effect on how much stability you get for a given brake bias.

OR

You can go by the rule of thumb that the factory will for safety err on the side of front bias by a large margin, and the most rear biased BMC for the same basic body style will probably be a good match for optimum performance albeit with a slightly more "taily" car under some circumstances.

Had chance to drive it today and I love the feel of it.
It's not 100% finished yet... Can't wait to go from around 300-350 to 550bhp with the full map.

After my detailer has finished Ron and RK Tuning have a few tweaks to finish and settings to change, plus the engine cover to refit. But I had to remove it for a few days as the detailer is now booked up until late April and I had this slot ready for the car.

Having had modern cars you forget just how you much feel a part of the machine in an older performance car like the R32.
It's great. Even low speed is an occasion and an overtake is a chance to smile.

A few pics.
Happy I moved the plate over, it looks good IMO.
