I would say keep it unless you really need to get rid of it; if you want to save weight on a track day, ditch the spare wheel! How f+%'@-g much does that thing weigh!

It was more location.
I figured 20-25kg or so in the nose, plus a compact/Motorsport battery could easily remove a total of 35-40kg from the front end without compromising usability. Just an idea anyway... ![]()

LOL....indeed Mike!
![]() Trouble is, the premium you ask for selling a factory nav equipped car is NEVER as much as speccing it in the first place. I can only speak having owned a string of BMW's that even a basic TomTom is light years better than OEM BMW satnav. Anyway, I digress.... Richard.......bin the aircon ![]() TT

I'd keep the Aircon, wino will be like a blast furnace otherwise!! The car is deigned to have it, without it it gets bloody hot - cabin temps will be 30+ degrees easy.. Imagine if you wanted to take it to Europe - motorways with windows down aren't nice!

I think you should remove it, it will clear up some space and lose a little weight. Plus side is if you keep all the parts then you can refit it back on infuture if need be.
UK weather doesn't get very hot anyway ![]()

Had it back a few days now and really trying to use it as much as possible so I can wear the engine in prior to the track day at Brands on the 10th March.
Not doing too bad, almost 400 miles already. Oh yes... and I had the air con on today. ![]() Think I'm going to leave it on this year, then see how much I actually use it and if I want to live without it. Got to get the rear screen tint off too as it's bubbled. This looks like a right pig of a job. All the big fandango speakers and amp have been removed too. I've had better sound quality in budget city cars. Another day, another visit to the petrol station! ![]()

To get that rear tint of easier, use a hairdryer and warm it up and peel it off slowly, keep warming it up while you peel it and it should come off in one piece!

Lets the rest of the car down IMO. Seems to be a film stuck on the inside. ![]()

I'm thinking getting a new back window is going to be easier than getting this stuff off!
![]() Anyway, car is back into RK Tuning tomorrow as it's coming up to 900 miles now since I picked it up last week. There have been quite a few petrol station visits... Looking forward to the full power version as it's a hoot already. ![]() Driver's window only goes down and not up too. Not exactly convenient.

looks beautiful Richard - the wheels and tyres really make it
![]() Wish I could come to brands next week.. make sure you take a camera! How does the suspension feel? Yeah get the film out.. I have that on mine, luckily it's not peeling but if it did I'd want it out. Hope you're happy with how it turned out - just looks stunning... and will go/stop/corner too ![]() ![]()

Bit extreme to get a new screen? You need to take it off on a warm day and it will just peal off. Had it on mine and I used brake cleaner to clean the residue that it left behind.

It's got 30 clicks of adjustment.
0 is nice on the road if slightly unsettled by large bumps and ridges. Certainly fine for a daily, I've been averaging over 100 miles per day in it with no complaints. Better than my R35 was on the stock runflats. Feels nice in the bends too. 15 is rather hard, what I'll use for track days while I get used to it. God knows what 30 is like! Quote:
Due to two young kids I've not been able to spend hours on doing the rear screen, which is what it's going to take.
