Beautiful mate.
Have to say, personally it would be a 34 next to your 32. Still not feeling
It for the 35.
Fabulous cars though.

I hear you, but for me an R34 is too close to an R32 as once tuned there is not a huge difference in drivetrain power or drivability.
How would you choose what to drive?

Where as the R35 is a completely different beast.

Although not my favourite colours, that drive is way too cool for one street to handle.

I picked the car up today from RK Tuning.

After my concern about getting 103db against a limit of 105db at Brands Hatch I decided to go for a quieter exhaust.

Ron got me in a HKS Slient System after I suggested it, due to seeing the noise levels Sam was getting.
With a quieter decat pipe I'm now getting 93db at 5,500rpm which is exactly what I was after. Car still sounds good too.
So effectively I can go to any track day in the UK now and not worry.

Only issue is, it's taking a bit of getting used to having such a large trumpet pointing out of the back.

Maybe it's just me, but with the previous system it looked a lot more in keeping with the stock looks I like...

I am wondering if it's possible to tweak the system a bit for a tailpipe with a slightly lower diameter without effecting it's effectiveness.
Not sure it has to be quite that big...

Old.

New.

Or am I mad?

Your right its not a low key as your old system.

But thats just the way hks exhausts look, not sure you can get a smaller back box or tip with out changing its noise levels?

Youl get used to it

Love the photo of the two cars together. The 32 looks like the daddy, older, more muscular, harder, more defined and the 35 looks like his bodybuilder son, but the 32 is letting his son know his place by being positioned slightly in front.

Not so much a car update as it in action...

I took part in the first round of the GTROC Sprint Series on Saturday.
Hosted by the MLR.

Had a good time, the car came back in one piece (always good) and it seemed to go well.

Difficult to know how I really did as I was slower than most of the R35s (that were all tuned to a fair degree) and quicker than the only other RB26 car (R32) who didn't have a bit of knowledge of the track like I did.
I do feel that with more time to learn the track Alex would have gone quicker than me.

Anyway, video... (sorry for the clicking GoPro mount, first time that's happened)

And pics:

Oh, and the noise test result was 97db.

Great to see your car in the the flesh, it is a minter. Clearly nicely setup too

Interesting to see your car is setup with rear lower than the front, clearly works pretty well, do you have the geo sheet from the setup Ron has put on the car?

I think it would have been close if I'd got another clean lap in, especially if I'd got the turn in point for Quarry sorted

No I don't have that info Alex.

Yes, your extra experience/skill of the car, plus your R32's set up makes me believe you would have been quicker if I hadn't have done 20+ laps of Combe already.
