Got Rob at GleamMachine in Grays to detail my Millenium Jade NUR.
He's been doing my cars for about eight years now and never fails to impress.

I've never been 100% on the colour but it looks stunning now, and really comes alive in the sun.

Well I've just finished reading this thread, and in the words of Sean Connery- I'm shocked and stunned.

"Richard's R32 GT-R" turned into a godzilla fleet of epic proportions! Thanks for sharing your journey. I'm a little surprised not to see a Z-Tune or Clubman spec amongst the pack though...

Hi Richard

Fantastic collection you have there lovely cars.

What are your thoughts on the NSX? I have a 465bhp R32 and was thinking of getting an early NSX.

I've heard a lot of people say in comparison it can be uninspiring. I do drive my R32 regularly and was looking for something fun to use but that may be a bit more day to day..

Thanks,
Sparks

Thanks,

It difficult to give a definitive answer as a lot is based on perception.
I find the NSX nice to drive, well balanced, comfortable and engaging.
But I also don't find it that fast because of other cars I have.

To me it's the kind of car you get out for a nice drive, not to go for a blast and set your hair on fire. It's nice to drive from a classic supercar type of viewpoint.

The NSX was never really on my radar until I saw one at HJA, which I ended up buying. It's completely OEM.
The best way to explain it, is that I like the NSX because of what it is, not what it can do. I cruise about in it and don't push the limits of what it can do.

I'd really suggest having a drive of one.
HJA currently have another red one in stock that is mostly OEM.

So there I was, happy that I already had way more 34s than was sensible.

Then I get a call from Jurgen at JM that he has a car that would be right up my street...

Hello R34 GT-R number 11.

Athlete Silver, my first silver one.
Also my first UK spec car.

Have to say when I got it the exhaust was offensively loud. But RK popped a HKS Silent Power system on and it's spot on now.
Well, maybe slightly quiet, but just such a usable car. Running around 600bhp and a lovely thing to use with great drivebility. Clearly good spec and tune, easy to use clutch and feels OEM plus while packing a decent punch.
A credit to it's previous owner.

Five weeks on, time for a little update.

Finally got all 14 (yes, I got another as didn't want 13) and my first Skyline (the red R32) in together to where they now live.

Just need to get some more covers now like HJA use, keeps the cars nice and dust free.
Got the first one and at 2.4 x 5m it's about right.

Only got a poor low light phone picture so wil have to get some others.

Now I have an issue.
Realised I have four white R34 GT-Rs. Which is a bit pointless.
And in reality 14 is too many.

So how to go about selling when I've just bought.
The cars are in brilliant condition, but don't want people to think selling them because of a problem.

So if anyone "seriously" wants a white V Spec II or a very nice white V Spec from Phoenix Power PM me, it's my latest addition.

I'll swap you my white R33 GTR for it? Ah bugger, it's white too so doesn't really help you...

How about a nice, lightly modded GT86 in silver?

insanely good read! (started at 8am) so only 2.5hours to whiz through lol.

I've been searching the market recently to hopefully get my first R34 gtr, saw the grey one from JM and the white one from Phoenix and they're both awesome cars!

But iv decided to wait for a Bayside blue

Thanks mate, it'd be good to go but with the Euro Tour and racing I have something on every weekend in July so need some family time.

And while I might have the biggest collection in the UK I'm probably not the biggest Skyline enthusiast, although I appreciate the sentiment.
I'm just an enthusiast like any other, but fortunate enough to be able to buy multiple versions.

Time for a little update.

Did the Euro Tour (4th time, love those trips!) in the R35 LM20 track edition.

I got a bit carried away and ultimately ended up with 14 R34 GT-Rs after the Phoenix power car.
So don't be surprised if you see a few of mine at HJA, as I am downsizing a little.

Here is a picture of the GT-R barn, pre slimming down.

Not going to lie, servicing, MOTs and running them to keep them nice is a bit of a PITA once you add in the non GT-Rs as well.

I've been enjoying driving something different lately, the Scoob and the Evo I've had for a while, but just got an RX-7 RS-R and I have to say it's rather fun!

But mainly at the moment I'm excited about something GT-R related coming tomorrow...

He seems OK, but TBH our chat has been mostly about the car.
I was as shocked as you that he actually let it go.
