BHP question

Not that I feel the car is underpowered, I'm just curious.

Research says that earlier models up to 2010 were 492 bhp but from 2010 this was increased to 523 bhp. My car was registered in March, 2010. Can I assume it's 523 bhp?

Just to impress all my friends - you understand.:D

Don't think you can put an exact number on it. Every car will be a bit different.

My MY10 had a Y pipe and nismo ecu with no other mods and was putting out 560

Don't think so Jack. Basically you've probably got at most an MY10 (same as mine was when stock), mine was registered End May 2010. MY10 models got the little more bhp you are talking about I believe. MY11 models (the ones with the turned down mouth for the grille and the DTR lights etc) are 523 bhp. You can tell which MY year you've got from the VIN code. I'd be surprised if your (registered in April 2010) wasn't an MY10.

As above, it comes down to model... Mine is a MY10 and was dyno'd before mods at SRR and made 499bhp. Stage 2 mine made 596bhp and then stage 4 615bhp.

Front DRL model (2011) was 530bhp. Prior to that for 09/59/10/60 plates mostly was 485 bhp (492ps). The early import cars were 480 I believe 57/08/58 plate but I don't think the 10 model had any BHP increase. Its not accurate anyway as like others have said, it was handbuilt and so they are a lot different to "normal" production cars.
