Heads up display

Just had a look inside a mates new M5 and I really like the HUD that the car has. Any aftermarket solutions for the GTR that are as good?

Great to use as well, corvettes have had them for over 10 years now,
Great at big speeds as you don't have to take your eyes of the road,

The closest I've had is the one in the X6, which was great. In the GTR, I just keep the speed read out in the digital readout . That's the best we have!`

Shame in on the GTR. I can get the MPH in the bigger box on the left,,
Go pro on the back shelf would give you some bragging rights in the Pitts,
Lol.

Who needs a speed readout ?
Wind to loud = to fast
No wind = to slow.

You can get an app on the iPhone (can't remember what it's called cause I don't have the phone now) that does the same thing.

Been using mine for a while now!

Works well and stops you from keep looking at the speedo!

Especially useful in variable speed limit zones!

Also shows that my speedo reads about 4mph under, based on GPS data.

Visible both day and night.
Run mine without the darkened circle provided as the distortion from the laminated screen is minimal and barely noticeable!

I use mine constantly as not only does it display Speed (& revs/gear change indicator when in M Mode), but also Telephone, detailed Sat Nav indicators & Media etc.

Strikes me as odd that BMW launched this about 10yrs ago (I had it in my E60 535D M Sport & E60 M5), however as far as i know, only Audi have followed suit with certain current models.

I also only use the digital speedo, I can't look at the analogue speedo, because 100mph on the analogue is where like 30-40mph is on most cars.

I've got one in my camaro and it can get distracting. So for most of the time it's off.
