New owner

Hi

My first post on here since buying a my10 R35, just been over breckon beacons this weekend, if you haven't driven over that part of Wales before you must pencil it in your to do list, the roads are so smooth and winding they are perfect for a GTR. Fantastic !!

However i do have a slight issue. I bought the car from our local nissan GTR dealer, it is a my10 with a brandnew engine. When I got the car home I was brousing through all the paperwork and noticed the last service schedule had not been stamped. I proceeded to email the dealer and ask if the book could be stamped. They replied with no !! It has had a new engine, brakes and tyres, all software updated etc, it has 12 months warranty with nissan as well. Could somebody shed some light on why the dealer would refuse to stamp the service schedule am I missing something??

Apart from this issue I'm over the moon with the car

What was the reason for the new engine?

It had dropped a liner in the block, so nissan sent a complete new engine over under warranty.

Happy days.

Not sure about the servicing thing to be honest. Seems weird.

But personally I dont use the dealers for servicing. Far prefer using an independent

That's an interesting reason being as though the VR38 doesn't have any liners!

Odd but that's a dealer for you, probably just didn't want the hassle!!

Same age of car as mine, If you have and independent dealer nearby I would use them.

Great roads I live about 30mins west of the Brecon Beacons, the local councils do seem to have invested in new tarmac in the last few years instead of leaving it to potholes or the usual tar and chippings quick fix.
