cobra tracker

Has anyone who has one of these systems unplugged/disconnected it.

if you have, have you had any issues afterwards. I have a feeling mine is causing my battery to keep going flat. After a visit to an auto electrician he has advised that the tracker systems run their own battery plus a direct live feed to the car battery. If the tracker battery fails it will draw its power direct from the car battery.

I was going to unplug it and just see what happens.
