Swirl pot fitting to r33

So I'm fitting my swirl pot and pumps in the boot off my r33 gtr, I have brought some bulk head fittings for the lines. In the boot there is a tin plate under the rear brace can I remove this for good? I can't quite understand what is for? Any help would be great

Any plate what crosses the chassis in that directing will help with rigidity. Yes you can remove it.
