However, you can't expect that much coverage if you weren't offering rides to the journos, although I understand they were very much shakedown runs. The owner of the LaFerrari was a top chap, offering rides and doing basically continuous runs since he turned up, which is both generous on his part and a testament to the Ferrari on the other.

![]() Do you have GPS log of the 207 or was it the speed guns ? To Guy, the length available for acceleration was 200m shorter than usual due to a dirty great 747 in the braking zone plus there was a slight headwind that is probably why the Veyron was not going any faster.... BTW the 1.4bar in the pic is a spike as I lifted off, this motor is a daily driver and only runs 1.2bar at peak power ![]() Edited: I can't post pics as I have 9 posts, the pic is of the speedo showing 214mph taken at 1:07pm ![]()

Ok well but Hyper cars is kinda slow ;-) would be intresting to see what the outcome had been against the only Mega car produced to date.
Koenigsegg Agera One:1 - Worlds First Megacar - Press release Impressive :-) performance nevertheless.

Personally I couldn't care less if it was the 2nd, 3rd or 4th fastest.
It's an amazing achievement to build a car like that and get it over 200mph. Irrespective of who has the biggest potatoes, the Qashqi R is still a great bit of kit considering what it's a GT-R with a Qashai +2 stuck on the top.

What's the deal with the raffle Kev? Can you point me to a thread? As an aside, I was chatting to a guy with a nice looking F Type jag. It seems he had lined up against you early in the day and was truely surprised that he got owned! I told him a bit about the QR and that seemed to make him feel a little better about it. I don't think it helped that you turned up with it full of people, a roof rack and a bike attached to the top

We did get asked many time how much BHP we had, I think it did Open a few eyes. The proposed raffle is being looked into, it comes under lottery rules and we need to obtain a gambling licence. As soon as we know, how to do and what to do, we will announce. The idea was to limit ticket sales and to have a value of £100 each(as yet not set in stone) As all of this is governed by many rules, we are seeking advice. KK

The best i managed at VMAX (not this event as couldn't make it) was 197mph through the beams. Sounds as though this event was running on a slightly shorter stretch due to a badly parked 747 (don't you hate it when that happens).
Have been to many of these & they really are fantastic events. Kind of glad i couldn't make this one as realised the week before in Germany that my top speed limiter hadn't been coded out so i'd only have managed 165ish in the F10 M5. Limiter will be gone next week so hoping with just shy of 700 horses & 815nm i may be able to bust 190 in my saloon ![]() Great work Kev & the SVM team. I can in some ways see why a level of elitist is appearing at these events & also to a point agree with the sentiment as it's the aged old debate about tuned vs. stock. A stock GT-R & defo a stock Qashqai is never going to hang with many of the cars that turn up at VMAX nowadays & previous results demonstrate this, however sending a 1200bhp car down a runway against a 600bhp Lambo is in some ways unfair to the Lambo driver as if the Nissan wasn't tuned the results would likely be very different & i guess the purest argument could be made. When i last spoke to Craig about this, he mentioned VMAX events were going to increase in number & they'd probably become more specialised, so you'd have Hypermax which would be as you'd expect, then likely a tuned event which would appeal to the GT-R's & other such cars & also Marque specific events so perhaps a JapMax or the like. Personally i loved the old events when the barges were scrapping with the Porsches & Lambos but thats probably just me.

That's all well and good segregating stock v tuned but you still get the man that wants to
be the fastest, what will happen in my book, who can afford the fastest stock!!..What was the Ferrari worth 1.5m ??? is that fair to the Jag man? These events are a bit of Fun, and should be kept to Road cars Fast Faster and Fastest ( I bet there were quite a few tuned stock cars Lol) LOL
