Carbon Dipping

Anyone tried this stuff??

I am thinking on dipping my interior bits. Looks pretty good and easy to do. Not sure how durable it is though??

not knocking the quality of the work from R35 - far from it - just have a pet hate of carbon "dipped" things

It's as durable as whatever clear coat you use.
Painting the clear coat is the tricky bit unless you know what you're doing and painting it in an booth/oven.

I'll ve my interiors water transfered next week, you must ask for a lot of samples in order to choose the right one, darker or lighter, more silver or less silver.
As soon as I'll have the car back I'll post some pics

I have both stuck on carbon and carbon effect dipped parts.

The dipped parts look good but because the dipped parts are OEM the fitment is 100%. The carbon covers look more carbon but the fitment often looks "stuck on".

Either way both are budget options and a compromise.

Obviously the only way around it is to have carbon made OEM parts which would cost £££££££££££££££.
