FINALLY sorted out the stuck injector - all six now firmly in place, awaiting new lower o-rings from Sumo to complete the installation into the inlet manifold

Also installed the PowerFC and Hand commander, turned the Skyline on to check they worked - all is fine. Thanks Taner

Dude, its getting there

Can't wait to see it back in action. I remember the last time I saw your car, at the Power Station. They said something like, you want to do what, put that on the dyno?

Progress report:

Intake manifold installed, with new HKS gasket.
Throttle bodies and plenum chamber installed, again with new HKS gaskets.
All gubbins below plenum connected and bolted on, also part of wiring loom attached.
Fuel rail and 700cc injectors installed, with new seals.
Exhaust manifolds installed, HKS gaskets again - lovely shiny ones too

That's about all I can do until I get the bottom end assembly back from Maynards, which should be either this week or next, hopefully.

Just got the one CV boot to do, the Hand Commander to mount properly in the car, and the fuel pump to install - then Im back to twiddling my thumbs again.

Pikey,

Come to think of it, have the injector harness, not sure about the coil harness. I'll take a look to make sure.

Nope, sorry mate wrong harness. My bad.

Right, spoke to Maynards again today. Of the two chaps he trusts with balancing work, one has had a bad accident (tree fell on his garage - with him in it ), and the other one is cutting right down on his workload to build himself a house!

I spoke to Brian at MechRepairs in Chelt (SteveN will know who I mean), and he recommended Steve Baker - but unfortunately that's the guy already mentioned who is building his house

Spoke to RB Motorsport, and they said they wouldn't be interested in doing half a job, having already supplied the pistons myself, and already having had the block bored and the crank reground, and I suppose I understand they cant vouch for other people's workmanship / products.

So it looks like I'm on the hunt for someone to do the balancing work for me, or else I'm gonna be waiting a long time

Do a search on Wilkinson Dynamic Balancing. Very good, but expensive.

Cool, but they are clawing it back now.

cokey - that place say they do tuftriding aswell. This is the process to restore the double-hard surface on the crank journals after you've had the crank ground isnt it? Might be worth a shout

Mart - cheers

Chris - also cheers
