Spark plug help?

Currently the car has GReddy/NGK Iridiums #9 - They have been in for about 4000 miles now. This will be the second time I have had to clean them up.

What sort of life span should I expect from a set?

If I drop to a #8 will it make much of a difference? (Other than making the car easier to start)...

Are iridiums the only way to go with these things? I dont particulary want to be raped for a set of plugs if I don't have to be! I will probably end up going for the NGK ones again but without the GReddy label too if they are available if anyone knows?

Cheers

i havent had much luck with iridiums. When my car was stock i just replaced it with stock Nissan GTR NGK BCP6ES. But now since its boosted to 1.1bar,i use the colder NGK BCP7ES(non iridium). Ive seen them on more hardcore GTR's(700+Brake Horse) as well and never a problem(the 7s).Plus they are so cheap and u can buy in bulk.I just change them every oil change anyway. I gap mine to .7(if i remember correctly).Iridiums just cost too much dont you think?

I have had a couple of sets of Densos crack the center insulation . I will not put them in a car.
