Hi mate,
Mileage is in miles - but the engine compression and HP suggests otherwise!
Bottom tolerance of engine compression is shown to be 128psi in the manual.

Importers are SVA Imports.

when you say a "slight" shake from the rear, is this a constant feeling ? can you get it up on a ramp with some pics of the underside rear ?

Yeah more noticable at lower speeds but almost disappears at higher speeds.
I will get it jacked up on Friday to take loads of photos. Im going to drain the old fluid in the rear diff and put some fresh oil in to see if its diff related.

No it's all completely standard. I have a brand new hicas lockout kit but haven't fitted - didn't want to veer away from stock condition too far..

update us when you change the diff oil then. Pics are working for me now and it looks clean for a 60k car never mind a 105k car. That mileage is 100% in miles and not sva converting from km to ml then not adjusting the mileage correctly ?

Will do JT. Thank you for the complement.
I have no way to prove what SVA did but this is their standard procedure when they import cars to avoid any confusion. In any case I pictures and videos to show the compression readings and this is the main thing that determines health in my opinion

Just like to add, I have also had the injectors ultrasonically cleaned (with video), and flow tested (with report).
I also have fitted a brand new battery with 5 year warranty.

Silly question. How come you've had all these tests and reports done on the engine (way more than most people) but have never investigated the wobble from the year or changed the diff fluid in the 2 years? Not picking, just curious.

It's okay, it's a good question.

I concentrated on working my way through the ignition system to make sure it was super solid. Harder to recover a blown up engine than a shagged differential or propshaft or whatever it may be.
Oh and yeah I never changed the diff fluid!

But genuinely?... The shake really never bothered me! My commute to work is 95% motorway in which you can't tell!

Are you kidding ? How can you say the shake is not noticable? Low speeds vibrates like mad and is still very noticeable at higher speed .

Say someone travels 300 miles to view the car do you not think they will be pissed if not as your describing

Just to reference the above message - I said it is barely noticeable at high speeds in which I did most of for my commute to work.
Agreed it does shake at lower speed, but it does not bother me.

Please stop crapping on my thread - I know you are pissed because you lost half your deposit which we agreed was non-refundable before you paid.

And this "massive gash" you referenced previously - customers please judge yourself (note, I have used a £1000 camera to take the photos just to show I am not trying to hide anything):

I am not here to mask anything up, and I am not saying the car is perfect. If it was I would be asking for a lot more money. Fresh imports cost up to and in some cases above £10,000.
I am only asking for £8500 for a very clean, very strong overall car (apart from this vibration issue).

Thanks for looking.

Hi mate,
Supra is definitely on the list of cars I want to own and yours sounds awesome but not just yet! I've already put down a deposit on another car. Thanks for the offer though! Good luck with your sale.

I'll do it all when I get the car up to change the diff oil - unfortunately the oil hasn't arrive yet despite paying extra for express! Easter holiday **** up me thinks..
