My nissan skyline R34 project (BIG PROJECT)

Hellooooo people

I think some of you already know me (or already know my car)
But with this I want to introduce me anyway, that seems so neat right? Let me introduce myself properly and then start a nice project topic.

About me:

So I'm eddy visser (Edjuh)
23 years old
And living in Netherlands.

Since I was a little boy (and the films The Fast and the Furious looked) I dreamed of a Skyline (R34).
From around my 17th year, I am more into me, and even embarked on a search for my skyline.
But then of course you must be 18, fetch license. (You know the drill)
but after I got my license, I do not equal bought skyline.
I bought a Volkswagen Golf 3 convertible, what kind of done, but that is not really important here.

even after having driven in the golf, skyline was still itch, and my quest came more to the fore.

April 2011:
On the market I found when a red Skyline R32 GTS-T, and I was hooked.
The Golf sold and equal fetch the skyline in Nieuwegein (Netherlands).

August 2011:
4 months after having played with the car, and a lot of fun, I was always looking at what was for sale.
And then I found a very neat R34 GT-T (automatic Tiptronic) to close, and then I'm therefore going to look at the car.
R32, I was actually already forgotten, and just had to take over the R34.
After much talk, and a test drive, I went home and I put my R32 for sale.
The same evening there was watching someone, and picked up the R32 the next morning.
So I had no car, and there was another place for a new one.
After properly negotiate an agreement, has been reached with the seller of the R34, and I purchased and picked up.

Here are some pictures of the car as i bought her.

December 2011:
I was really quite happy with the car, but it would not be my project as it remained at how she was.
So after 3 months, having driven the R34, I went to work to build my dream car.
From childhood on, I wanted to make my car later as in the movie "2 Fast 2 Furious"
and so I am going to gather all the parts and build everything on it

Here are some pictures of my project:
posted hks bov

GTR spoiler purchased

Here are just a picture of how I bought der

neo6 cap removed, I found personally not so nice there.

R34 GTR fenders already bought for R34

At the third brake light was a small spot of rust, so I treat to let

even as me spoiler painted blue, and all fixed up there.

it looked like this when

there were quite ugly hella headlights, so equal as the real purchase

April 2012
when the car was ready, I could finally retrieve her, and I finally had the basis of my car the way I wanted it.

After many setbacks, but also a lot of good things, I started slowly more components and collect stuff.

and then after awhile build and buy things etc.
the car was car looks finally as at

but well, I can upload 10,000 pictures of the whole process that I have endured, but get a little crazy.
You now have an idea of the car, all of what it was before I went on with the real work.

But the rest of my project will start from here..........

October 2014
After 3 years to have the car in my possession, I have a lot of shows (of course many cups), meeting's, gala's etc. driven and then I decided to give my car a few new upgrades.
But now in a completely different way.
I always wanted some time to make a manual skyline of it, but I also really like a RB26DETT in it.
After a very nice range with a friend of my that had a RB26 for sale, I put my RB25DET for sale and sold fairly quickly to a boy from Belgium.
and i buyed my own RB26DETT

Here are some pictures of the RB26DETT

[IMG]http://i1060.photobucket.com/albums/t445/edjuh1/Mobile%20Uploads/2014-10/A04AB912-968E-4333-A162-D0655ABA5C3A_zps0sde30gz.jpg[/aIMG]

Since October 2014 I am so myself trying to build in the RB26DETT, so from here the next project was started

In the period from October to now I have quite a few elements manage to score.

Here's what foto.s of the components:

Mishimoto aluminum radiator with electric cooling fins

RB26DETT harness

BREMBO GTR brakes kit (similar red let make)

main clutch cylinder for the manual transmission conversion

nismo engine mounting rubbers

GTR pedal, clutch pedal not unimportant for the manual transmission conversion

OEM GTR bovs, may be sold anyway because not be used.

tubing, piping, hoses, etc. for the block.

also the OEM RB26DETT downpipe, which may also be sold anyway because what else did.

GTR BM57 brake cylinder

lower clutch cylinder

Apexi power fc with hand commander and boost controller kit

there are still more parts enough, but it all comes later in the project be back.

As I had already told you, so I have purchased a RB26DETT, and therefore had to make my own block area.
I did not have much experience with swapping engines or something, but how hard could it be?
So I just started dismantling everything I seemed to get in the way

hood is off to start

and get everything loose

bumper off, intercooler removed, and the headlamps etc

outlet below from there

radiator out

'm getting pretty good so

began to pick off the machine mechanics.

which therefore

and open it is

look where the master cylinder to come, and fortunately there was already a process in.

All oils are not to forget

when it was all I unscrewed the container loose, which fell a long way down.
Cardan moved there from so no worries.
And just only begun rig

and which then stood, ready to be picked up.

when the engine was picked up, I get me another similar block on the go.
This was then still in (then) pro imports in Amstelveen.
Charged and taken into the van.

HOME !!!

Meanwhile, the car with a nice empty engine compartment was waiting for her new acquisition

and so began to figure out how the clutch cylinder is placed.
Hole cut.

hole drilling

and again later on with the clutch cylinder

as something completely different .....
the crankcase cover of an RB26 is equally something special, to drive the diff for the front wheels is clear to it.
And that will never fit on my subframe.

so everything taken out there, if someone need that, let me know about it.

even the inside of the pan clean tidy.

diff is buffed and neatly sealed.

nismo engine mounts also meanwhile posted.

Also the clutch cylinder is finally, was really a lot more work as I thought.

as the engine hung in there to see if the sump was neat, and the engine fitted.

After that everything was neat and fit, as the cam covers are laid on to watch.
I finally hang in a RB26 and i am so in love with that cam covers.

GTR harness but equally extended.

Meanwhile, even as new rims already purchased

Also a photo received from the buyer of my old block.
Which is already finished and already runs haha

but again further on mine.
Gearbox found, and hence purchased

where is the clutch ???: p

that he became so my clutch

New rims but there is put under.

motor out again in order to place the clutch and bake.

Greddy equal length stainless steel downpipe bought.

and begun to place with the clutch.

Yeahh!!

Well, the clutch and the gearbox sits there behind.

So now time to hang him with the bucket.
And thus is also fixed

he depends so with gearbox, now is my car is officially manual

radiator as appropriate.

and then here are some pictures of the car with new engine in it

I hope you all like it so far

I really do not sit still, and the end is getting closer.

the former owner of my engine had so here I sent a message to some information about the engine, and which also had lying some nice stuff.
so I got a good offer from him, and therefore equal picked up the parts.

blue engine silencer

HKS twin blow off valve's & brake stopper

GReddy FMIC piping kit

very satisfied with the piping, fits just right and perfect.
only the two front legs that come to the bumper have to be made.

brake stopper confirmed

left side of the FMIC piping connected

right side done right

with this as a result

blow offs hanged

I also missed the piece of metal on the front side of the motor, where the radiator hose comes on, but I have thus found and inserted.

hung me clutch pedal really not good, in the right place but the pedal was completely pulled back and then came still not far away.
so here adjusted and now sits neatly flush with the brake pedal.

this I was still the most adjustable, gimbal that I bought I would let adjust.
I understood that that would not fit and so had to leave welding and balancing, but I still wanted to show how and what.
I shoved the cardan in the bucket, and I wanted to look at the other side how much it would save ....... matched that simply !!
Here even the photos of

but good, the cam covers also were still loose because I could not even fix with the dirt , which is still there.
So disassembled and cleaned everything nice.

and also mounted the same amplifire

I think I already told you that I had purchased a stainless steel GReddy downpipe, so which I also just put it down.

The GReddy FMIC again placed back already

I had already bought a Brembo GTR R33 brake kit, but the discs and pads that were I found everything around it too old to throw at it.
I did so for a nice price found new rear discs, and I ordered the new front and even as new blocks around.
I also right around me claws overhauled with all the new rubbers etc.
and there it was nice package

loading discs, and also besides hood on me again.

claws mounted

and the result with the rims there again

because my trunk when the painter is, I may borrow temporarily a trunk of a friend until my trunk is back

the car but just rolled out to take some pictures of how they are listed.
and the car had yet emerged in the garage to have to do a thing, and of course is also equally ready to be picked up.

and which is back inside, had still a few little things to do.
just sort everything and gather together to give to dismantle.

After some final things to have done, and all loose items gathered together.
the car was picked up by the end of February by JT-performance
He would do his utmost to ensure that the skyline get phased neat.
Also get the skyline mapped right.

Am so curious about what will be the end result

Here are some pictures from when the car was retrieved

my work was over, and now the rest is up to Jeroen.
but I said it can better be good, not that it must hurry.
Is also less fun for him as it should be all but fast.

So then waiting for all the updates that I would receive from him

I also did so for me bought another car spoiler, it had been mentioned to me but me and trunk spoiler went to Spayer to let them sprayed!
meanwhile had thus the trunk neatly sanded, and the original holes on the spoiler GTR welded shut, and nicely finished.
and he sent some photos

I think it looks neat, and he has done it best.
but, well, he was also continued identical to measure the new spoiler to confirm him.

and here so how should sit.

feet in the right place to put the drill holes.

and the holes are there

the trunk has gone into the primer, and the spoiler would later happen.

Then wait until the following pictures. Weather updates at the painter

further news about the car .......

it was an effort to get him before April 1, so that I could go to the premiere of the new movie "Fast and the Furious 7 ''
unfortunately that did not work, but they still do at JT-performance their best to get the car back on the road as soon as possible
Now Jeroen came up with the idea of taking my car with a trailer to the premiere (of showoff), where he would go in Tilburg.
So who's gone with the skyline. (Pictures to follow)

because car course had together (on the trunk after because I had a carbon fiber boot lid down on it) I had to throw off the headlights at Jeroen.
then the cream should only be together, so I was just at my car.

when I arrived was the engine of the car to check everything.
they have the plate coming placed between the transmission and the engine, which was later bought myself because I thought it was different. MY BAD!

also the distribution they have done around it and put on time.

they have the '' iac '' idle control (which was nit there) mounted, which was one of the main issues for which the engine had to again.

Meanwhile, everything is checked and knows what needs to happen.
but the engine was ready to hang back in the car, so in the meantime is in there already.
was missing some things like:
heater hoses from the block go to the connections on the bulkhead.
plugs of the ABS pump of a RB25 harness.

so the car was like this when i was there.

In the meantime, so had contact with Jeroen on the fuel pump.
The OEM GTT pump was still out there, and I had one myself a GTR.
But I was advised to put another there, a 340L / h dw300 pump Deutschwerks.
So who ordered equal and below.

I got a message @ facebook: eddy, this car you ??
The following pictures are at haha.

Anyway, because I converted my car to course manual, and my car was automatic with Tiptronic, I'm still with buttons @ the steering wheel to shift the automatic transmission.
So I just bought a new wheel.
Must say that I certainly am happy with it, and it has the right looks still too

Justin now has the trunk and spoiler already been sprayed, and the spoiler tested on the trunk.
So was ready to pick up.

Here are some pictures

Trunk looks good.
Spoiler is also sprayed, and certainly looks good.

Spoiler is very nice now

A number of times with Jeroen spoken in that weeks, and it is certainly going in the right direction.
It was really a serious job to connect the wiring harness, sift through everything, plugs did not fit, etc etc.
The engine was actually ready now, and Jeroen had to do some little things, and he had to have an oil pressure sensor of the block (who was not there)

All in all just worked really hard and I am very happy with anyone who has his bit there to act on.
All the help I received at the time when I was still working on the engine swap, and ofcourse Jeroen who is now doing his utmost.
And Justin out there for ensured that there just comes back to stand as a picture, and I can come along for the day again

I need to be patient and then I can finally enjoy my own skyline, as it remain big cars, but see rather all skyline and mine besides, (instead of going to the known events and all to see nice cars but mine is not listed) haha: p

I really want to give my compliments to Jeroen how he has dealt with all this, he's just all know to fix up haha.
I was sat nearby to pick up my trunk, which came to bring in close to where my car is. when he went to fetch his own skyline
So loaded trunk, and to bring it to jt-performance where my skyline is.
I knew how it would come out to see the engine room, but I had not seen it yet.
But I got goose bumps from head to toe, it was so cool to see.
Everything looks so good and it was really nicely done.
I could go on for hours about it but I think better pictures haha.

The rear brake Snakes I had not, so Jeroen placed new one's

FMIC piping was quite neat, but it was not quite super.
So jeroen has just himself but welded piping, as one whole and looks super nice!!

But Saturday I met so as my car, a very full engine bay

Fusebox is adapted, because it comes naturally from a automatic skyline.

FMIC with new piping.

So far as motor!

But of course I bought another spoiler, so there pictures belong.
Justin has adapted the trunk and neatly painted. Spoiler neatly painted and ready to be assembled.
Thus, the trunk put on it, and when the spoiler on it.

Here t result

Just an overall picture

The car had already started and ran very well, but by a leak he could not have it unfortunately mapped!

The progress is there in it, and Jeroen got the car really quite working.
Oil leak repaired etc.
He still had a few things to do before that would again go on the dyno, but there was thus already gotten to it.
Therefore, last week put the car on the dyno, and make a few runs again.
Unfortunately again a setback, it is probably the packing of the water pump, but it leaks very slightly (a few drops on the ground)
But because the water pump needs to get off, there should be better a new one.

So i bought myself an N1 waterpump

Now i'm waiting for the waterpump, and when it is there, jeroen can place it at my car.

The car is mapped, but not at full boost.
When he did that i will pick up the car very soon

I have a nice video on youtube where my car stands on the dyno

Take a look at it, and i hope you all like it

I hope you all understand my english a little, begause i translate it @ goole

When there are new update's i let you all know soon!!

Video @ dyno

Interesting read.
Always nice to see someone to fulfill their dream!

Don'lt like the GTR badge and interior too much though.

Hope everything works out with the RB26 in there.
Good luck!

But he saw a 0.9bar boost a small 420hp
The R34 turbo's (with steel bearings) are coming @ 1.1/1.2 bar.
So i canr wait for the results what it will finaly be
