All I am saying is I'd rather save and put genuine Nismo on a NUR....heck I put genuine Nismo on my plain old v-spec

The one item on my car which is knight racer is my front splitter, and that's because I view it as a consumable! (I have already chipped it.....!)

Thumbs up

Yes the car was not cheap and the parts and extra work are not cheap either, also I have and do continue to support our Japanese tuning manufacturers (my bank manager will second this)

... You all were right to me

I am going to retract the statement about Nismo / KR and almost same quality as I found out today that:
  • Nismo Side Skirts (76410-RNR45) are ABS vacuum formed plastic.
  • Nismo Rear Spats (85050-RNR45) are FRP composite.

I thought the Nismo side skirts were FRP and knowing they are ABS makes all the difference for me, seeing as I would always choose ABS over FRP I am not going to mix different manufacturers for these items so... With the points I have on RHDJapan I should be able to get them delivered for around £720 - I am in talks now with RHDJapan about lead time/extra discount and will be ordering original Nismo items . This will mean a further week or so extra delay in collecting the car but as I said before I am doing this right.

See you there I hope!

Excellent - see you saturday.

Will you be in the Pulsar? Do I need one of these?

Love your car !

Unhappy

Thanks JPS like you I am getting offers to sell it and I don't even have it yet ... I won't be letting this R34 go ever.

I will be in the M3 as the Pulsar is off the road mate... RHDJapan just sent me in the same order for the R34 parts the new Tomei head gasket, inlet gasket and valve stem oil seal guides I need but could not supply the exhaust gasket... I am ordering an MLS exhaust gasket and the HKS 75mm turbo gasket for the modified Garret/HKS 3037 turbo I have fitted to it from the UK and then I can take the head off and sort the faulty valve stem oil seals in cylinder 1 & 2. I only work on this car and as we have the house renovation starting next week it will be next year till I fix it now.
  • Skyline GTR - Godzilla (daddy)
  • Pulsar GTiR - Baby Godzilla

Do you need one... hell yeah if you want a Godzilla family, the prices are starting to rise so they are a good investment in my opinion and for me nothing beats being at the lights next to a super car and seeing their expression at the next lights when I have beaten them in what they think is a 90s Sunny - Before its current issues (all my fault) I restricted the power down to just under 500hp to ensure the quaife gearbox internals and gearbox case don't explode/disintegrate lol. For a car that weighs so little with that much power I can out accelerate most cars around town (its not built for top speed as it is effectively a brick - drag coefficient was not in-mind when they made this for Group A rally).

JPS - under the hood of the GTiR... still some work to do as well as fixing it, when I have time (almost never now with a 3yr old) I tinker with it.

Cool - the M3 will have to do then! LOL.

The Pulsar looks good and will be fantastic when back on the road.

When you drive the NUR home from JM-Imports you will have to call in to see Shrek - Nottingham is on the way.

cu saturday.

jps

P.S. I must add a small note - Jurgen @ JM-Imports is the best UK car importer dealer in the world in my opinion - I can't say why - but the effort he puts in to buy cars for us is first class - If Carlsberg imported cars!

My eyes just bled

I'm super envy of you, being able to source an M spec Nur with Millenium Jade. That colour is THE BEST in all R34 colours. Congrat, sir! I have absolutely no idea if anybody would hate such beauty of a colour...

Cool Dyno map 1 of 2 done.

Dyno map completed and with 1.1-1.2 bar set we saw 420bhp with strong linear power delivery from 3500 rpm.

On to part 2:
  • Downpipe is stock - we are replacing for a high flow pipe
  • CAT is stock - we are replacing for a custom built Magnaflow sport 200 cell unit.

Then we will dyno and see what increase those parts provided, then we will map at 1.3-1.4 bar and see what is produced

Talking Final map

We fitted a sports cat and high-flow down pipe and then remapped for higher boost and got...

I am very happy with the map (we are not going to push it anymore as safe/reliable was the aim considering this is an expensive car... a big thank you to Jurgen @ JM-IMPORTS!!!

I will start a new thread to show the car with all parts fitted in a few weeks.

Jurgen is awesome... I asked him how much to fit a new SatNav GPS/DAB+ stereo and he said he would do it for free

Waiting on the seat repair then collecting next Friday/weekend.

Just going through the final work sheet to see if anything has been missed... we are looking at if we need to fit wheel spacers now the Nismo fender covers are on:

I think we do need them:

JPS PM me your mobile and I will try and stop on the way down... I don't want to pick the car up when its raining so no date is confirmed yet till I know for sure what the weather is doing

My 3yr old daugher and I are very much looking forward to collecting it, she has now named the car Ziza (she can't say Godzilla - yes I know the R32 is the real Godzilla but for me this is also)

Jurgen is going to take some more photos so I will post them soon.

I have a few other items I want to do but I am going to stop till the work on the house is done as I already have spent more then I was expecting for the first round of work, and I have time till the shows next year to make it perfect.
