I can't see why not,if you running the cable out of the hood you won't be able to close your bonnet.i think mook found a different route in is r33 maybe you cand something like that.
I run the cable out the side of the bonnet. You can close the bonnet with no difficulty as the cable is not very think. Mine's wired in permanently and the connector just sits under the bonnet when closed, then open the bonnet, connect the little plug and job's a carrot.
It squashes the cable a bit, but even with the bonnet closed you can slide it up and down, so it does not clamp it if you see what I mean. And with the bonnet closed you can lock the car as well.
I use a CTEK smart charger, permanently hooked up to mine & run the cabe out by the scuttle panel. I just make sure the smart indicator is flat above the battery access panel, where there's a void above in the bonnet, when shutting.
