ARE NISMO LM GT4's POWDER COATED?

Hello again,
Started a new thread with the above question as I have a guy on the phone now from a refurb company, who's telling me most jap wheels (including RAYS) are a wet paint finish

I'm sure someone told me they were powder coated?? (they're bronze btw)

Anyone know? thanks

Jay

Mine bronze ones are sort of crackle finish if that's what you mean.

Same as that, I havn't got a clue what i'm looking for!

The spokes are a "crackle finish" whilst the rim is kind of diamond cut but it's the colour process i'm after

You can't actually powder coat alloy wheels, when something is powder coated it needs to be baked at high temps, if alloy wheels are powder coated they nearly always gas, which makes it look like there are hundreds of bits of dust in the finish.

Just for information!

Might be worth emailing Shin at ProSpec, he should know!
