thats true, RIPs engines with Robbie testing them out would be the best option.
1000+ from a torquey Rb30 would satisfy us the consumers.

I don't think ppg will do that tbh, mind you if smaller gears have been tested to 1800bhp running 7 sec 1/4 mile then it should be a walk in the park lol

So basically a sequential helical cut six speed gear set in a standard casing for no less money than a fully designed OS sequential helical cut six speed gearbox.
Exact same fitment, realistically won't be any stronger, and given that it's in a standard casing and therefore has to work around those size constraints, likely to be weaker... Holinger has always been sold as the strongest (whether that's the case or not, I guess it probably is), OS as the most friendly and with better parts availability (and far cheaper than a Holi). Other than price, which we now know isn't relevant, what's PPG's selling point?

You sure that's not AUD given they're an Australian company?
There's £2.5k difference between the two at today's rates.

Send it to Rips. They will tear that box apart in no time, if it stands up to their engines then well it's a good box.

PPG - as offered earlier in this thread.
If you want to prove your box I am willing to have it fitted and test it. Currently I run the quickest 1/4 mile manual Skyline in the UK with an 8.6 second quarter mile. I currently use a six speed sequential Hollinger. It will be easy to make a comparison for you and you will then have real data to assist you with your marketing. Do you believe sufficiently in your product to run a public test? .

I'm sure it's not been solely developed as a drag gearbox guys.
Does that mean you'll be doing runs down to the shops and motorway cruising now Jeff to provide real world back to back tests? JK ![]()

well - the experience I had with my PPG box and its company service in the UK, was shocking.
If is was in the market for a new box, I would need some serious guarantees off them before even considering buying one. I was running less than 600hp atfw - it broke twice, in exactly the same way and that was without any drag launches. and don't get me started on the after care service, pricing of spares and spares lead time !

Well that's a pity......
Was finally hoping someone was going to build a seq box for the masses, but it looks to be just another expensive choice between Holinger, Quaife, Albins etc ......not everyone needs a $20,000nzd gearbox built to handle 1000hp. ![]() Looks like it's going to be a OS88 going in the car then

A short video to show the PPG Nissan R32 6 Speed Sequential Test Day!
Check out the R32 GT-R running around Mallala Motorsport Park with the new PPG 6 speed sequential gear system , based around the 5 speed OEM case this is ideal for road ,curcuit & Drag racing. After fitting it to a 650hp Nissan R32, the PPG system performed faultlessly throughout the 200+ km test. More to follow ....... https://www.facebook.com/PFITZNERPERFORMANCEGEARBOXES/
