Whether its for my own personal needs or customers cars needs, I'm asking Qs which have been asked throughout the last 6 pages. Some offering their cars as testing bases (risking their engines)
Would this handle a really torquey high revving launching drag car, 1000bhp with 800lbs+ (not NM) harsh driven RB ?

PPG - Have you done any automation trials? (not just flat shift)
Interested to see how it compares to the Holinger for automation, specifically how low in gear clutchless downshifts can be managed. Also, as previously mentioned by others, interested to see it in a high powered RB as you claim Drag use, which is very hard on the drive train. Thanks.

Im with Umar
I am also looking for a gearbox before I consider a larger turbo which would eat the gearbox - Motor is giken rb30 with big valve head . Im currently avidly persuing the gearbox issue so the ppg is obviously a possibility along with the usual other options The thing , is I know the limits/costs/ etc of all the options except the ppg . Just my opinion of course but you did start the thread and its about a new product so those interested are mostly serious enquiries so will want serious answers . If you want to sell any i think further info is needed.

![]() (The R32 system has not been designed in the first stage for paddle shift however its a natural development that we are working on now) ![]() However automation is something we specialise in and you can see the types of paddle shift systems we produce working in the Dallas Performance 2000hp Audi R8. This is working within the region of 40-50ms for shift for next gear stable coupled with a 5mm shift distance for actuation and typically 2/3rds the air pressure required because of the low stiction systems we inbuilt in our designs. A lot of people that have seen the Dallas Lambo and Audi sequential systems think they are actually DSG such is the smooth and seamless shifting function. Our exclusive usage of the Gill Blade 360º sensor on our barrel systems which is actually 10bit resolution provides data at higher levels than any other system in the industry , no need for filters that mask the data and the ability to log data at high speed , its the reason why Gill supply the F1 grid with sensors ![]() This data capture enables greater visibility of dog position and allows you to characterise the dog position such that you can achieve next gear stable in reduced ,repeatable and accurate times. Gill?s Rotary Sensors selected by world-leading performance gearbox manufacturer | Gill Sensors ![]() In terms of power, PPG have 2400hp V6 cars running our systems running un imaginable speeds with 2000ftlb with 1600kg chassis with huge slicks on glued tracks, I guess at this point you need to see PPG is based around Drag racers and huge HP applications , its what we do..... The thing to think about is this system is designed for the aftermarket sector ,its not a lightweight optimised system design for a particular series of racing with a HP & Torque ceiling thats been adapted from something that just happens to fit. The PPG R32 Sequential system has been designed with the view the customers will throw everything and the kitchen sink at it to try to break it . We are pretty sure we got it covered ..... Any questions you can call or email me and i will be happy to answer any technical points ...

The power you indicate is no problem for this system. The PPG system is being tested in a range of cars but thats an ongoing process and we will post the updates as and when they are compiled. ![]() You can stay connected with the latest news of our busy Facebook and Instagram pages. ![]()

The Price is $13400 USD , on this you will need to add shipping. We are talking with several tuners in Europe to stock this and there will be a display system in the UK in the next few weeks so people can see it in the flesh..... Jurgen at JM Imports can help with any sales in the UK . We currently have 8 units available for sale from the first production and they are in stock and ready for immediate delivery. The system comes standard with - KA Sensor - Load cell - centred @ 2.5v for DBW , throttle blipping downshifts PPG LCD gear display Gill Blade 360º Rotary Sensor - 10 bit resolution - Deutsch Plug terminated PPG - Deutsch Plug wiring harness Gill Blade360º - Program lead - USB to Deutsch Plug Any further questions feel free ask. ![]()

I take it there's a specific maintenance schedule too? Quote:
There's already quite a few people asking what the limits are and yet FB and this thread seems to be evading the questions. Would it be possible to answer was the HP and Torque ceiling is please? Apologies for all the questions, if you'd rather discuss offline, I don't mind; feel free to PM. Just to add; I have 2 friends who are currently looking for a sequential box but so far it seems like (no offence intended) people are simply requested to have faith in the product rather than being given the actual technical details and specification.

Holinger doesn't rate the GTR6 to 1000hp+ though, they rate it to 900Nm torque.
Or in other words, 664ft-lb when we've seen torque over 900ft-lb hence asking the question.

Matt
T = HP X5252/RPM So what RPM do you make peak torque ? This rates there system at 500hp if you make 500hp @4000rpm or maybe you could make 900hp @ 7000rpm . The thing with torque ratings are is it is absolutely impossible to determine a failure level, tractive effort would be a better determination ,its this reason we don't put them forward , its a grey area with a trillion possible outcomes.....

So a 1300-1400hp car , well you are truly in the territory of try it and see. There is no warranty no assurance no guarantee you take the burden and ownership.
I would be happy for the PPG system to run that level in so much its a very stout design and we know the gears are more than man enough .

PPG.....
Could you put a pic of what you get with the box, rather than listing it? Also what oil would it require? heavy Duty Redline Shockproof or something more normal 75/90w? and would you modify the box so you can fit a coooler prior to building and dispatching it? Cheers
