NEW PRODUCT RELEASE: ACS R35 Front Mount Intercooler Kit for R35 GT-R
A bolt on that performs
The ACS R35 GT-R Front Mount Intercooler has been developed by ACspeedtech using our knowledge and experience of extensive high horsepower engine builds that have been developed here in the UK at our Cheshire HQ. Our OEM direct replacement intercooler has nearly 80% more internal flow than the Nissan derived stock item. The ACS unit fits to your GT-R as a direct replacement and requires no modifications. Yes, this means no cutting and hacking. Engineering meets function The ACS GT-R Front Mount Intercooler has been designed and developed in house at ACS after many years’ experience of using many different types of intercoolers on the GT-R. When something doesn’t quite meet our requirements it’s in our nature is to find the solution. Designed using the latest CAD software the ACS Front Mount Intercooler the design brief was surprisingly simple. It had to perform and it had to fit on the standard vehicle without any modifications. While meeting our criteria for builds under a thousand horse power and crucially meet an accessible price point for the end user. Cast rather than made from plate steel like some competitor intercoolers, the ACS Front Mount Intercooler is supplied with heavy duty hose clamps, connectors and silicone hoses. These items offer perfect fitment that aid the velocity, volume and temperature reduction of charged intake air. Features • Direct Replacement for OEM Intercooler • No cutting, bodging or hacking required. • Up to 80% more internal flow area than stock • One-piece construction aids improved pressure loss Kit Includes • ACS Front Mount Intercooler Core • ACS Silicone Hose Kit • Hose Clamp Kit Specifications • Intercooler core dimensions: 550 x 220 x 100 (mm) • Suited for applications & builds up to 1000HP • Installation time is around 4 hours. • Pressure tested to 4.0 bar during manufacture The kit retails at £1000.00+vat & fitting. Just took up AC Speedtech's offer on this as well (see the KW offer thread ...). A great bit of kit at a fantastic price!
Simple motorway journey back so not able to test it properly yet but I'll post some feedback after ASDA Day in a couple of weeks! Thanks again Andy & the guys for another great deal ![]()

Also fitted one of these as future proofing for more mods and fitted my self, very easy to fit with pretty basic tools, Andy then mapped the car and said the FMIC was working really well as we altered wiring to measure pre and post IC temps. Great product and good price.

The car (4.25 plus ACS FMIC) ran very well at ASDA Day. Temperatures were good and the car pulled well through the mid range and gave a slightly higher top speed than the previous year (pre-FMIC). I have also done a track day at Silverstone since and the above was replicated there. The car performed perfectly on the run to, in and back from Romania this year as well. Temperatures were again fine (though this would be expected on the road really) and she again pulled slightly better than previously through the gears (not as noticeable a change as larger turbos obviously but this isn't that kind of mod ...). I thoroughly recommend this FMIC for anybody interested in one. It performs well and is good value compared to some others out there.
