OFFICIAL nismo Version-Up Menu for CBA-R35 GT-R

Hello,

Many 2008 CBA-R35 GT-R owners today may have the dilemma of tuning their cars, or refreshing them with later spec DBA-R35 parts or even go with aftermarket tuning.

Nismo is now offering a complete Version-Up menu for initial 2008+ CBA-R35 GT-R users to refresh and factory-tune their cars.

The official motorsports division aims ate keeping GT-R owners updated and give added value to their cars, while maintaining the car's character.

Thank you,

Mike

Still better than the 30,000GBP gap....
Are they a direct fit regarding wiring, etc ?

DBA parts available here from someone doing a dba to nismo conversion.

Don't think the wiring is a direct fit, alittle adjustments, drl's also need new wiring.

Thanks! I thought the same thing.

ECU flash/remap, front bumper with LED`s, front and rear lights i can understand.. everything else seems like overkill.

coilovers and better/bigger brake discs would be where my money would go...

Personally if you can't get the DBA parts cheap second hand I would put aftermarket suspension e.g Litchfields kit, something like a Night racer front end carbon DBA kit and then wrap the car to your liking. This would cost you some 8-9k. Car would look like a 2014 from the outside at least and handle better.

but why do it? it won't be worth what a 2014 is and really does it look that much better?

it some ways its better to keep the car looking like a 2009 its what people think a GTR should look like. Spend the money on making it better ie under the bonnet - gear box etc

once you own a R35 the look is less important as driving it, my 2008 still gets lots of looks. I can't go anywhere without people wanting to talk about the car

BTW before I had a R33GTR I had 200sx 14a close to your 15...

the GTR is a world away from the 14a....

Cba to dba is not a hard conversion.

Best best is to buy little by little then it's not too much of a hit in the pocket.

I would say 2k to do the job, minus what you would get for cba bits which I would estimate to be £500 to £700, so all done and dusted £1500 final bill.

Would it not be worth waiting to see if the 2017 front will fit?

Not quite as i am planning to put an aftermarket kit from Top Secret. Not a fan of the MY2017 look with the fake vents...

its better to make it look different than like something else it is not

just be careful with the overhang, I had a devil splitter from japan and a tuner cut the corner off reversing off a ramp as it stuck out to much. I saw the first TS version in Japan and it had a longer nose....

Question: Does an aftermarket kit with front bumper / rear difusser / side skirts designed for the DBA fit the CBA?

Have you actually driven a GT-R?
What it looks like is nothing. Nil. Nada. It goes like a stabbed rat. That's it.
I had an S14. Not in the same galaxy. As one Nissan tech put it, "an old man's car".

Get one you can afford and keep buying tyres and brakes

Why 2014? Why not get a DBA? Surely that's not £30k more?

I wouldn't do the conversion, it's dead money - you'll never get it back.

If you buy a 2011 DBA at least when you sell you get back most of what you've spent going for the extra, and it's a lot easier to do. Plus there's a lot more to the DBA than just the front bumper.

Not much more that makes any diff.
Cosmetics, gay time running lights, squidgier suspension, larger turbo intakes, larger final exhaust elbows, different sodium filled valves, tiny bit of boost, and last but not least, marketing bullshit and cost cutting.

Did I miss anything?

Oh, the ECU has the extra half meg of flash, and I think the TCM does too.

Basically, the same car, but a little bit more civilised, AKA tamed.

Just my 2 bits

Doh! Wheels of course.

Had a look at an eba 2 days ago and it looks like the front end will fit also.

Going to try and get more details over coming week if possible.
