How to remove OEM R33 GTR fuel pump cradle?!

Now before anyone says pull really really hard, I have done!! But the damn thing does not want to budge! I'm not in a rush to drive the car but I want to get it running before I start the the restoration work on it.

Are there any tips please? Looks like the little clip thing is stopping me from pulling it out as it hits the plastic "tab" in the tank. There are plenty of photos of the GTST cradle being removed but the GTR cradle is different as the pump is at the top of the cradle and not the bottom, so I can't just pull the clip out easily to remove it as you can see in the photos.
Are there any tips on using say a flat head screwdriver to pull the clip out while working blind?

I have sat in the boot and pulled and pulled and pulled till I have gone light headed and it still don't shift. Even had my brother try and Northstar off this forum try too, and we still can't loosen it! I'm not "weak" either so it's not my strength lol
