Installing a Supertec VR38 Coil kit on RB26

Fitting is very simple:

You will need to remove your existing coils and Oem holding plates.

You will first need to mount all 7 mounting posts. The screw in using a 17mm deep socket (to prevent crewing up the alloy with a shorter socket)

Once posts are mounted fit the adapter brackets with the supplied M8x25 cap head bolts and tighten them all up.

Fit the coils in making sure you apply dielectric grease on the rubber boots of the coil so they slide over the plugs with ease but also act to prevent spark leak.

Place the small alloy spacer between the coil and bracket and secure using the M6x35 cap head bolt.

Attach the harness:

To make the most out of the coils a mappable ECU will allow you to set the correct dwell times:

Mookistar, Red Duke, Bolle and 7 others like this.

Coils and harness can be bought cheap from USA. Approx £300 for coils and £150 for harness.

This is on my list of future mods. Have you noticed any difference in performance #'s with this kit?

I am sure deleting the igniter is nice, one less part to fail in the ignition system.

What have you actually noticed as a big difference?

There is no good dealer in Europe. Buy from Rock autos they ship world wide. If you do not adjust dwell times or remap you will not be getting the most out of them. Do not worry they will not blow up with out a remap or dwell change.

So this will be R34 style like without the coil converter like used in the R32s?

Does this work on a R32 GTS4 without remap?
