Replace Interior Mirror

I dislike auto dimming mirrors and wonder if anyone has replaced this with a manually controlled mirror?

If so, where did you source the part.

Press the middle button on the mirror, and it turns the auto dim off. You can tell it's off as the green glow goes off.

check it

Itís difficult to believe that people need to be told how to do this when the button described is clearly an on/off button

I am not that stupid!

I didn't ask how to turn it off I asked how to REPLACE it with a mirror I can dim manually.

Turn it off and there is NO DIM function which is not what I want to achieve.

Its ok, often people miss read the heading.

Just with the auto dim still not take the light glazed away enough.

But that's what the button does?

Turn off the auto dim with the button, turn it back on as and when you want a dimmed rear mirror, off again when you're done.

Just like an old fashioned mirror with a flip switch.

Yes C-C I know what the On/Off switch does - that isn't my question.

The auto dim is too slow to respond! In many instances, I suspect because of the position of the rear wing, it doesn't respond until the following car is quite close.

With a manual control I decide when I want it dimmed.
