Those with HKS drop in filters

Ive had my set turn up today, but there is no rubber seal on them. Been reading up and seems they dont come with them, but plastic to plastic seems a bit poo! I know nothing big will get through, but still!

Anyone else use a gasket or made a seal for them?

Thanks

Bit late now

Why do you say that? But i know quite a few aftermarket filters get bad reviews. These are the newer HKS hybrid ones though, so hopefully ok! Although saying that, with no rubber gasket im not overly impressed!

They are shite beyond belief

dont use foam filters

its a shame apexi and m's factory etc never made filters for 35

use Mines or simlar or just blitz panel filters

HKS foam forms small pieces that go into the engine

not what i want to use but each to their own

Wasnt that on the older super filters though? If these are like that, then i will send them back! Dont really want little green bits flying around

Blitz seem to get good filtration results. Or maybe K&N or perhaps keep to stock and change them more then?

That where the old 2 piece filters the problem usualley lays by the owner not replacing them.

Btw they just changed the filter kit again 2months ago, looks well made i have it, its a huge difference vs my old type.

HKS have always had issues one way or another, I remember the old induction kits were so heavily oiled the fouled the MAFS and shafted them....... or the engine lol

Going to return them! Had a look, and the fit really is [email protected] So ordered K&N ones instead. Feel much better knowing it does actually seal!
