Power steering cooler leaking!

So I noticed last weekend I had a little oil on the undertray after an inspection it's clear that the lower pipe on the power steering cooler is leaking slightly.
I thought it would be as easy as just buying some new pipe and replacing it,which I've done but it still seems to be leaking!
Has anyone else had this problem that may be able to shed some light?
Cheers in advance.

Upgraded cooler from Forge is around £2-250.

If you've swapped the pipe and it's still leaking it's likely the core is damaged.

Maybe time for a nice upgrade?

Thanks for your reply Charles. I'm a little miffed to be honest, please excuse my lack of knowledge on this but any ideas what can cause the core to get damaged??,just don't want to buy a new unit if there could be another underlying problem.

Age and corrosion most likely. Hard for that area to get direct puncture damage and the internal pipe is a big one even if some rogue projectile made it through.

Haven't heard of anyone else having issues tbh other than overflow from overheating the PAS fluid on track (myself included)

You're 100% it's leaking from the cooler / pipe connection?

Yea I'm pretty confident as Ive seen oil dripping from there,I've even changed the hose clamps for jubilee clips

It's an odd one given the cooler core is just a wide u shaped pipe with some fins on it.

I'd buy the Forge kit and swap the whole lot out given it's only a couple of hundred quid.

See it as a little selling point when you sell the car.

I have seen quite a few of them and they are getting more common as these cars are getting older. I have seen maybe only 2 that have been leaking from the cooler and all the others ( 10 + ) have been the lines that run to the cooler.

Cheers for your advice guys. I've ordered a replacement from Nissan in the end. Nothing worse than no being able to get out in your toy when the weathers nice.
