Kakimoto Dual - Backbox query

Hi All

Having taken delivery of my new exhaust [Thanks Brooksie ] it looks like the backbox may be too big where the pipes come out.
Anyone out there with a Kakimoto N1 Full dual who can, would you please post a pic or let me know if this is going to be an issue.

Cheers

Do you mean the back box is too big to go into the area it is supposed to or that the exit pipes are too big for the bumper?

Exit pipes looked too big for the bumper but we just had a look as my mechanic just came for the car and placed the pipe in situ.
Its possibly the most bling exhaust I've seen, the pipes are mahoosive
Looks like it will be ok and also got a call from brooksie to ease my worry and make sure I was happy

Not yet.
Car is filthy after the drive to Holland.
Also, a Kia Sonnamabeech hit it while we were on the Eurostar and broke a reverse light
Will get some sorted and post if I can bear looking at it with the damage.
Fortunately, it was only the lens that was affected. No body damage at all.

Its on ....

It is a LOT more vocal than my old HKS Silent Hi Power and hopefully won't pee the neighbours off too much.

Initial reactions :

WOW!
Its always burbling and popping, even on idle.
Sounds really good between 2-3000rpm and going toward 6500rpm is an animal but I only did that once.

Don't know what it will be like once the system has settled in

Big thanks to brooksie and newera for sourcing the system.
It was an absolute doddle to fit and the pictures don't show the quality of the workmanship well enough.

Just fine tuning now mate.
I want to keep the car sane so I can take her out whenever I feel like it.
Trying my best not to go too far and ruin the overall look.

I'm sooo looking forward to Robsons coming over though.

Thumbs up

When i fitted my kakimoto 2000 Hyper NI exhaust i cut the rear valance away to allow the exhaust back boxes to sit higher. if you look on members gallery under R1 Nismos car you will see. great exhaust though very pleased. keep the bungs with you incase you get stopped by plod. you can then say you are just blowing out the pipes as the system soot's up in traffic at low revs. works ever time as they are a little loud especially when some one is following you!

Man but your cars clean!

It is the same exhaust.
I'm thinking the theme on your car will be followed.
Black engine bay ...

Same as mine! The second pipe looks a bit offset compared to mine although - have they changed the design?

The tyres and camber have been since that photo by the way!

i think the kakimoto bumf states that fitting the N1+dual may require alteration to the back bumper.

They may have changed the design slightly, can't see why though.
The exhaust fits really well, no need for any adjustment, doesn't vibrate on its mounting points.
It does look as though the design was for the right pipe to exit where a single pipe would.

Looks strange from the back but the side view shows the whole pipe which is cool when its clean
