My MY17 project

Well I thought I would start a thread to plot to modifications and development of my black MY17 recaro.

Having owned previously an MY09 white and a 777BHP MY13 in red I wanted a different colour but also thought black suited the 17 spec best. After looking at a few, I chose this ex demo car from Desira Nissan in Norwich, a recaro with 1900 miles on and registered in March 17

Some pics

After collecting it I realised it was almost too quiet so on route home I called Russ Fellows and ordered a non res Y pipe andnotnlast Friday. It makes a nice difference, more burble yet not too loud.

The old one

The new one

Next up is a BBK, details to follow once my order has been fulfilled

Absolutely awesome! If you're already getting a BBK does that mean you're going to go for mega power in the future?

Quite the opposite. I will use it on track and for now the oem power will be more than enough. Next thing will be suspension if I think it needs upgrading, will take it on track first and go from there and I will keep it pretty stock power wise to keep the warranty too

Might want to move your images to a different type of host dude. Something like Imgur or flickr. Photobucket requires payment for 3rd party hosting and leaves your images looking like the above when posted

Well I drove the car to Anglesey sunday night and had a great time doing so. On track it was great apart from the understeer. I cam off early on, just onto the grass luckily but I was just carrying too much speed and the car wasn't going to make it through the turn so I just slowed and let it roll onto the grass.

I slowed down then and took the corners wider but it does need addressing and I have done so! The car will be going to Litchfields in the coming weeks for their handling kit and ARB's, the suspension felt ok so wont change this yet. I am hoping the handling kit may be enough but only time will tell.

I also plan on fitting some carbon bits from Litchfields which I am looking forward too. I have thought about wheels but I am unsure what I like and don't want to spend and get it wrong so wont rush that decision.

The AP radicals were brilliant and to be honest perfect, had no issues whatsoever, no juddering or noise from them, I am very happy.

Anyway some pics from the day

Gets a new MY17, immediately takes it to the track top man!

Seeing your photos makes me want one even more now...if only.

Can the front diff drag not be compensated for with a little more balance on throttle, like you can on the older GTR's to over come the understeer ?

Not from what I've read from different reviews- it seems it's gone softer.

Iain thinks the handling kit alone will make a massive difference, I don't think the suspension itself is too bad
