Do I have Upgraded Audio?

When I purchased my GTR last year I paid for an independent inspection to be carried out by Garage R, as the car was for sale in Scotland. The guy inspecting it said he thought the audio had been upgraded as it sounded better than many other GTRs he had been in, dynamat had also been installed in the rear/boot which I know is a popular upgrade in conjunction with audio upgrades.

As I don't have any invoices etc, can anyone tell me what the best way is for me to tell if/what work has been done? Would it be a case of taking the door cards off and checking the speaker assemblies? Are there any other tell tale signs of audio upgrades?

if it has been upgraded there will be a digital converter under the passenger seat or in the footwell I think, there will also be an amp somewhere, often next to the converter but sometimes in the boot.

I've dynamatted my car but not upgraded the audio cos it was easy to do and helped cut down on road noise
Doing it is not enough - it has to be done right.

If I look through the front speaker grills in the doors, I can see Audison written on my speakers. have a look on yours.
