Figures on my Transmission cooler

Well before my little off at Brands on Tuesday I got to test my own trans cooler, first to passenger rides with no cooler activated (3-4 laps) and temp got to 128 centigrade, came back to pit garage and activated cooler and in 10 mins temp was 84, with the cooler activated and 4 back to back fast rides and it did not get past 108 centigrade and 10 mins in pits down to 74 degrees. Fitted one to a customer car and hes tracking soon and got another to fit next week.

Yup going great, never seen over 108 since its been on, and cools between 1-2 degrees per min when car switched off in pits, ive even managed to squeeze it in with the big BL race intercooler, now getting a much more efficient engine oil cooler and PAS cooler made and fitted a PWR Aluminium rad which is beautiful, I know these work well as Dimitri has fitted in the middle east due to the high ambient temps. I'll stick pics up when im home but the engine oil cooler should be 30% more efficient and ill run on Millers cool it in the rad.
Only thing I need to investigate is the diff cooler, as Nismo offer one and not a trans cooler its worth seeing if the trans cooler pulls the diff temps down or not.

Blue hoses on the IC are just to get it mocked up, everything is black and all pipes and turbos and IC have M8 bosses welded on to tie pipes together after connectors and Murray clamps are fitted. Hoses popping off at 2.8-3 bar are a real PITA !!!!!

Pretty sure we will go CO2 cooler on the IC this year too, so we freeze the cooler pre run, not sure I can use it on the run as if its sucked into intakes may be counter productive and make the car lay over a little, might run a water/meth system for track but data so far says not needed probably, 28 degree ambient at Brands and 3 laps in AIT temps were 31. On the dyno it was stupid low but it was a cool day, I think we got 19 degrees.
Just rigged a fuel cooler for my pals 996 turbo integrated into the ac lines so might do that to cool the fuel.

Good kit you've put together there John. Solid numbers. Be interested to see how the new coolers get on.

Thought that would interest you Martin, yeah lets see how well the theory of cooling everything goes with overall results.
