SHELL DYNAFLEX Technology V-Power (engine cleaning intake valves/injectors) SEE PICS

Hi Folks,

load of old tosh or actually works to clean the engine injectors/intake valves to help maintain performance ? See pictures below for shells apparent 'evidence'...I'm not sure so have put some in as i usually use Tesco momentum, See if i notice owt different with the Dynaflex V-power.. Or has the marketing got me? haha Chron.

Shell DYNAFLEX Technology | Shell United Kingdom

Shell V-Power Unleaded : designed for performance
Now with boosted DYNAFLEX Technology2, new Shell V-Power Unleaded is boosted with 30% more cleaning molecules than previous formulation.

What is DYNAFLEX Technology?
DYNAFLEX Technology is the name for our latest generation fuel formulations for Shell V-Power unleaded and diesel fuels, designed to help clean and protect your engine.

When we speak about DYNAFLEX Technology we mean the complex blends in our new formulations that Shell has specially designed and enriched with powerful cleaning agents to help maintain the cleanliness of key fuel system components and protect them from performance robbing depositsą.

How does DYNAFLEX technology work in engines?
Our Challenge Deposits in fuel systems

In creating our new Shell V-Power with DYNAFLEX Technology, we drew on over 100 years of experience in fuels research and development. Our DYNAFLEX formulations draw on our experience and insights into the demands of both older and modern engines. Modern engines are becoming smaller whilst maintaining high power outputs and often use new technologies (such as direct fuel injection and turbocharging) to help achieve performance and efficiency.

Deposits can form, over time, on key fuel system components such as fuel injectors in diesel engines and intake valves/fuel injectors in unleaded engines. Now with boosted DYNAFLEX Technology3, new Shell V-Power is our most effective fuel at helping to restore engine cleanliness by removing deposits that have already formed4.
Our Solutions

Designed to help clean and protect key fuel system components such as intake valves and/or fuel injectors from the build-up of performance robbing deposits. Actual effects and benefits may vary according to vehicle type, vehicle condition and driving style1. See New Shell V-Power | Shell United Kingdom for more information.
Our most effective fuel in modern generation engine technology. Helps to clean key fuel system components such as intake valves and/or fuel injectors from the build up of performance robbing deposits. Actual effects and benefits may vary according to vehicle type, driving conditions and driving style1. See Fuels Help for more information.

30% more cleaning molecules, so does that mean the equivalent per unit volume less fuel?

Depends how they are doing it. If they have put more Toluene in, not only is that an effective cleaner it also a good octane booster, so that is a positive. If its some other cleansing, none octane boosting, burns like water crap, it's a negative..........

Good point on Toluene, it could be that. It was illegally mixed with fuel in Australia as it had no fuel excise tax so if its still the case its a fairly cost effective additive.

Was used on F1 car during the turbo era too and I'm sure it wouldn't be detrimental if it repaced fuel by percentage volume.

Toluene mixed and Xeyelene is something I used back in 2005/2006 in my Skyline I mixed in 30% once lol and shaved off 0.3 at Santa pod. Though the car wasn't mapped for it it did run really well.

Back in the 80s during the first turbo era they did intact run as high as 90% Toluene and boost pressures as much as 5.5bar! How do you think BMW made over 1400bhp in qualifying from a 4cyl 1500cc engine....

but the combustion is within the engine so that will mark the valves/injectors?
