2011 vs 2017 Both 4.25

If both were running 4.25, would I feel the difference on road?

Nope doubt it, they are both using the same gearbox and engine so are both bound by the same limiting factors..... engine and gearbox "strength", they will both be capped at the same levels of torque and BHP.

Well, the 2017 might be 0.000001 quicker.. due to thinner paint

MY17 would possibly feel slower/smoother, as its more insulated with less mechanical noises than the MY11. MY17 suspension is alot more softer than MY11.

On a dyno, they'd be very little difference in power, if tuned by the same tuner.

I think technically the only engine difference would be the larger turbo inlet pipes on the 2017 as they were enlarged post 2012. Worth maybe 5-10bhp from memory.

It's why the early cars hold their money so well, there's mechanically very little difference between the earliest and latest R35's.

I'm sure the inlet change was from MY11 onwards and hasn't changed since then. Various injectors/torque changes have been tweeked, along with suspension and chassis reinforcement bars etc. However when going stg4, injectors & ecu remaps are changed anyhow.

I thought they were on all dba cars but they are listed by most tuners as 2012+ GT-R Ported Turbo Inlets - well worth doing on the early cars

Show's why ALL of them are tuned! Amazingly mine WAS stock when bought, never been launched or tuned, should i have left it stock to keep residuals good? Hell bloody NO! , 0-60 was ace as they all are, mid - top nowt to write home about.. got the ****er tuned after 30 days ownership to stage 4 = WIN! mid - top end transformed, and made the car proper fUN!

I like the 2017 interior, but the outside has got a bit too angular and pointy. So if the performance is marginal at best, are they really worth the extra?
