A fellow Welsh GTR owner, I'm up the coast near Aberystwyth. Would be good to get a Welsh GTR meet/drive if there's enough interest.
Love the interior!
Virtually my dream spec.
You don't fancy a 720s do you? Lol

Would have loved a 720S but don’t think I could have lived with the attention and couldn’t afford the current prices. Will definitely consider one in the future.

Thank you all for the kind words, still can’t get over the performance. It’s outrageous for a road car and I really need to engage the brain with regards to the other road lemmings.

Can you share why you chose the spec you did, rather than say a 4.1 with EFR turbos?

I was curious why GT32s over 7xxx EFR turbos?

So some updates over the past couple of months.

The car was using some oil and I wasn't really happy with this considering the efforts gone into this build.

Iain was very professional to deal with and offered to replace the engine under warranty. I took the opportunity to upgrade the turbos from the GT32R's to EFR 7163's. Also for added protection upgraded the Forge alloy header tank for the Litchfield breather system including the header tank + catch can integrated unit.

The new engine was painted crackle black to match the intake manifold which looks far more stealthy compared to the previous silver.

The cars only been back for two days and performance is staggering. To be completely honest the punch from the new ones is very marginal to the GT units however coming out of certain corners the increase in response in felt. No doubt in a lower capacity engine the difference would be bigger.

I also took the time to install the DSC Sport controller today, I had bought it some months ago but the usual lack of time meant it was forgotten about. The comfort has taken a significant improvement from previous and race is useable on the road without the jarring. Need more time behind the wheel to give better feedback.

In a few days I'll be heading up to the Highlands to drive the NC500 with friends so fingers crossed the car remains trouble free.

DocT,

Great to hear you have your engine back to full health.

What sort of power difference will you get with the 7163's over the GT32R's?

If you are passing through Aberdeen on your way to the NC500, give me a shout and I tweak the DSC maps for you if needed.

Apart from that I would love to see your car in the flesh, it looks simply awesome.

Would be happy to take you up on that offer Hugh. Will PM you closer to the date.

I asked power to be capped around the 1050bhp mark with a nice smooth curve so comparatively little gain but I wanted to experience the fast spooling nature of the EFRs.

Very nice build. I think it was a Good call to go with EFRs. I am running 69/58s myself and love the powerband.
I bet you can hit a lot more power with your build IF you ever feel the need.
