Chateau Impney Hill Climb 2018

Hi All

I am sure there will be more photos from others to follow, I only took a few as I was 'pre-occupied' with the grandsons! I must say this was a different type of event, geared for both families and petrolheads in the most beautiful surroundings and grounds and was one of the most enjoyable I have attended. There was a good selection of food, drink, ice creams, fairground rides (all free), big screens for the footie and amazing displays of both modern and vintage vehicles. If anyone has been to Goodwood FoS it was like a smaller version and i hope we can attend again in future years.

Thanks Mick - Couldn't have put it better myself!

On behalf of the club, thanks to everyone at the Hill Climb at the weekend, good to see you all as usual! Was a superb event but I think we can all agree a few degrees cooler would've been nice! The cars looked awesome and special thanks to Papa Smurf who had Smurf and Custard on our stand.... don't think we could've picked a more eye catching combo in the sun and both generated a good bit of interest.

Here's a short video created from some of my own photos to give you a feel for it - hopefully I'll get more photos uploaded at some point soon. Video here.

Smashing pics from Mick and Adam.
In real life Mick's 32 was superb.
Here's my small effort with cars that captured my attention:-

And a final small effort of examples of some cars I've owned - still wondering why the hell I sold the Elan and Tiger.

well said mike ,i do think a lot of owners need to try different events , i know the organizers very well and have demoed my car there for the last three years . and we have had many along discussion about what makes a good event . As ive said to him on many occasions if you look at the successful events thy are all car events that have a family element , if you can provide something for the kids and wives/girlfriends you have a bigger audience .
