....a few miles in (trying my best to keep it below 5k) and no problems with the engine so far! It feels really smooth, and just feels like it wants to go.
Iíve been making up a cooling panel out of 2mm aluminium.
I started by making a template up out of some pieces of card that I nicked out of the kids drawer.C7EA1CBC-4AF6-49E5-9727-F511744AB65B.jpeg

I then went on eBay, bought some Ally plate, traced it out and using a jigsaw with aluminium cutting blade and cut out the shape. I was going to clamp two pieces of 2x4 together to bend it in but I learned that a mate has a small brake to bend it in.
....so with a bit of bending and filing, trial fitting and adjusting I have ended up with this.45B3D1B7-D4F2-4D78-9CD5-6F77FAE2DE0F.jpeg it needs painting I think because it sticks out against the other dark colours.

Excellent Jimbostir! Not sure if you've seen this already but it might be of some interest to yourself and Red Duke?

I see! I don’t have the factory air duct. I was thinking of getting one but I have a thick rad.
It’s definitely worth looking at doing though. Either that or another cold feed I think.
Thanks guys, I will have a look and think at what to do....

This is the panel painted:245D8345-0CCA-494E-BBF5-5F6250666DE5.jpeg
As for the cold air feed to the air filters, I think I have an idea. Itís not revolutionary, but I think it will be good. Il update in due course.
Ive only done about 500 miles in the car since the engine build, the engine feels so smooth now and thatís with a few degrees of ignition out of it for running in. Iím in no rush now to get the running in miles done as it will be end of summer soon anyway and I want to get at least 1000 miles in it before turning it up.....
