Removing cam cover/valve cover paint

Wanting to paint these while they are off, but found the paint on them is stupidly stubborn, Nitromors did bugger all. Wondered if anyone knew the best way to get the paint off, maybe a wire wheel on a drill but not sure if brass/stainless is best to use

Thanks

I nitromors’d mine. If it’s that stubborn then maybe sand it back and go over it.

It's pretty stubborn, the Nitromors didn't even shift any of it..may have to try some other stuff

Nitromors has become soft over the years not the same formula it once was. We can blame the EU for that too.
MS33 and Smartdj like this.

You could just sand it down by hand with 600 then go to a higher grade like 1000 then primer then spray it, new paint should adhere nicely then and as long as it's flat and smooth all over the new paint will go on and look fine
