Unhappy Car sold- Time to take a break

Time for me to take a break from GT-R's after the sale of my 35 was completed last night.

I first joined the forum back in 2004 after the purchase of my GT-R 33, which was then replaced with my 35 in 2012. I've had some amazing years with both cars and they will both be truly missed but it was time to move on for me.

I will however still be around in the 35 section to give Mook a hand looking after it so keep in touch still chaps

HUGE thanks to Lee at SRD for taking care of the car the last 7 years - Honest and reliable on every occasion work was required and I can highly recommended him for anyone looking for a tuner.

I think because I've missed a few car meets due to work it's made the process a little easier for me. I know it will be loved by the new owner so I'm happy with that.

What car have you decided to move onto after your R35 GTR - it’s a hard decision to make as there isn’t that much out there unless you go for a 911 Turbo or equivalent - but then your paying big bucks..

I liked my Porker turbo, got a little fed up with the cost then did a long drive to Le Mans with another porker in the sunshine and it was a lot of fun...

Fuggles of all people was my passenger and had a begrudging respect for the porker on full song.... there is life after a GTR

Don't get me wrong I loved the GTR but on country roads, I don't think the GTR would have kept up just because of the size

I'm looking at an Rs6 as I want to use it as a daily and with family life and work if would be easier.

Performance wise on the 13 plates onwards isnt that far away from the 35 and they can be tuned easily as well.

You have a 997 or 991 ? Interested in the 997's but a manual low mileage is still pretty pricey for the age
