And not that it bothers me. If that is something normal that doesn't mean that something is wrong with my car then it can rattle on me, grind, squeak etc.
Just tell me nothing's gonna fall apart.
I looooove the performance...

Could have sworn i've seen a couple 800bhp cars under £40k?? Surely thats much better bang for buck?

And just to add......I have an 09 non-nav GT-R ....earliest UK Edition and it's had zero mechanical/drivetrain/engine issues! Most reliable car i've ever owned....seriously. Had it longer than any other car i've ever owned to so that is a testament to it's build quality....

I'd maybe have a 2.5 to 5k slush fund just to be sure and it's pretty much worry free.

Very strange car...
Unique...
I've had a few performance cars: M5, AMG, 2x RS6, XJR, Porsche Turbo, SRT8, but this is something different.
Something 1 of a kind..
Something one has to get used to..

I had an RS6 before the GTR and its far more refined and is great at what it does, but its a luxury estate so the comfort and infotainment etc do spoil you a bit. It took me a few weeks to get used to the GTR but once you are onboard with it the car really gets under your skin. I improved the refinement on my 15' GTR by adding sound deadening and MPS4S and its night and day, such a great improvement. I have considered going back to an RS6 performance but i reckon it'll be EBA next for me, best of both worlds.

Welcome to the club!

The GT-R is indeed more "raw". Some of the rattle could be due to stock bellhousing. Replacing it is recommended.

The MY15 has improved sound deadening as well as full LED front/rearlights which is what made me go for it as well.

Yep, bellhousing rattle is making the noise, but the gtr specialist said I can leave it as it is for now. He gave it 10K miles before it needs replacing unless the sound bothers me too much..

Have you had the clutch learn done because most of the time that quietens it down... If your anywhere near Birmingham pop it down and we'll check it for you on the house

Get yourself the ecuteck dongle kit or lead kit and that will allow you to check the car and do stuff like clutch learn and idle learn and much more

Can this thing really withstand all that heavy accelerations and braking that it's recieving non-stop?
Cause that's how I'm driving it all the time around the city. Gas into the floor from one traffic light to the next. Never felt the need for this kind of driving with any car I've ever owned. Maybe because non of the previous cars had that kind of power...

Abuse will break anything, they are good but killing it at every opportunity will break it... Be sensible

With this beast I'm not sure where the red line for abuse is set at.
I'm pretty sure much higher than my driving.
The G's are adictive..
But you're 100% right...
