MAF magic

Unless you run a speed density map, does going atmospheric not cause problems with the factory MAF and its measurements?

If your car is not on a Speed Density tune you may run into fuelling issues as you will be venting metered air (the ECU has calculated the correct amount of fuel for the volume of air contained within what should be a closed intake system).

Running VTA BOVs lets some of that expected air out of the intake system hence the incorrect fuelling.

I know of some who have run VTA BOVs on a MAF based tune (how standard and most sub stage 4.25 cars run) who say their cars run just fine, however unless this is being logged and checked it's not something I would do nor could recommend.
